well if you use young fawns interpretation of a peadophile , on another thread , thats been locked and disapeared into the annals of time to gather dust for eternity . ie , anyone who has a partner 25 years their junior or more , them i would hazard a guess that in udon alone there must be hundreds , thai and farang alike . as for the rest of the country , tens of thousands !!!!!

Doug, I can't see any reference on 'Intrenet dating' to me defining a Paedophile although I mentioned hypocrisy and inappropriate relationships. It would be great if you could post the link where I said such a thing then I can defend myself.

Yes, morning Ralph. Not sure where this stance came from: that a relationship with a 19 year old girl constituted paedophilia . I certainly never said it although Doug attributes it to me. Again, I'm still waiting for the link/evidence and I'm happy to be corrected, my memory is not what it was.

Yes, my belief is that such a relationship between a pensioner and a 19 year old is inappropriate, for senior members to egg them on through the Forum is also wrong and in some cases hypocritical. And I don't believe that Posters should look the other way and say, 'not my business'.

If the guy's photo was published now (which I don't believe it should be), it would not make one iota of difference to the impending legal proceedings.

Does Thailand have a law regarding prejudicing a trial because of what is published in the local newspapers?

Given that there are no juries in the Thai criminal justice system, I very much doubt it. And if that is the case, newspapers are free to publish as they wish.
