Celebrity chef Keith Floyd dies

Floyd's unique presentation style was an instant hit

Celebrity chef Keith Floyd has died following a heart attack, aged 65.

He died at his partner's Dorset home on Monday, said his autobiography ghost-writer, James Steen. Floyd had been diagnosed with bowel cancer in June.

From Faringdon in Oxfordshire, Floyd shot to fame in the 1980s in ground-breaking cookery shows, fronted with huge enthusiasm and wineglass in hand.

Yes just read it in the news.....must say i am a little shocked, last night there was a program (Ch4-uk) on 'Keith Meets Keith'.....Keith Allan searched out his idol keith Floyd a 1 hour docu made in June, excellent viewing glued to the screen i was....then woke this morning and he had died....
a great caracter, and i loved his shows, he was keith floyd to the end.

you have to sit through a few 30 seconds adverts, then you get the show 50 minutes long and well worth the watch.

RIP Keith, a man amongst men.
The wife really liked his shows to and affectionately referred to him as "Dirty Cook", a title I think he would have enjoyed

Reports today that he died shortly before the Program about him on TV was about to be screened, he had just returned from a sumptuous meal celebrating his partners birthday and getting an all clear on his cancer scare.
