Lars - I think you would find more people enjoying this exciting meeting if it was going to be at a slightly better venue and time, after all, to go to the 4th floor of a hospital at around lunch time on a Sunday is hardly appealing ...IMO..Lars Erik Brandt wrote:Now its time for a new meeting with the "Expat Club". My wife (Thai) and I (American) have just moved to Udon Thani about one month ago. I was a member, and still am, of the Pattaya City Expat Club. I lived in Pattaya for about three years. I'm looking to meet some Farang guys and mixed couples too. Any information on both the Expat Club or spots where expats hang out...etc. would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to meeting some fellow expats.

I have never seen a socially oriented club run like a business boardroom before. It's just completely pathetic to me. Aside from the poor organization I have found the people themselves to be be depressing, self-serving, argumentative and boring. Sorry, but this is a poor excuse for an Expat Club. It should be a fun experience that Farangs look forward to...and it's not at all. Too many egos and just not "fun" people. That's just one man's opinion, so go and decide for yourself. I'd rather sit home and read a book.

Perhaps the organisers should arrange for the next "guest speaker" to be a stripper who could do a demonstration of her art and show 20 various ways to put an ice cube in someones drink. Might make Murray feel that it's more of a "fun experience" and make him a bit less Homesick ....... sorry Patters sick
