So with my new found understanding of the AFL I shall stroll into a yet to be determined bar full of Colonial types, probably about half time so as to give them a chance to have had a drink or two. Loudly declare they are all Soapdropping Handbaggger's then politely ask if all Aussie blokes maggot dicks get so excited when they see a behind.
Oh how we shall laugh :badteeth:

Roy I fear that an AFL grand final may be a bit confronting and physical for you soft pommie lads, bought up on a diet of scoreless draws and falling over for no apparent reason.

Of course I am describing what happens on the field of play, rather than in the terraces and the roads leading to and from the soccer.

Now that is a laugh :D

What do you mean Ard?
Surely it would display me deep understanding of Australian culture. I foresaw all my Antipodean cousins nodding approvingly and saying "That Pommie blokes alright, sure know his onions when it come to AFL. Lets by him beer all afternoon to show our appreciation that he has taken the time in his busy life to study the finer points of Australian sporting activities, good on the Pom's"

Surely this can be the only outcome :-k

Roy

some words and phrases to avoid on your orientation of Aussie Culture this Saturday.

Maurice Tait
Harold Larwood
Adelaide Oval 1933
Churchill knew what he was doing in WW1 and WW2 when he sacrificed the colonials at Galipoli and Singapore.

Words to use include

on ya mate, my shout, no no no, Its ok, its the least I can do after we used ur country to test our nukes.
crikey lads these beers are cold as the mother in laws feelings.
I rekin Punter will be the worlds greatest run scorer and 2nd only to Bradman as the worlds best batsman.
another coldie mate ?

Its OK Wazza I will be sure to mention that it was WAZZA who provided me with much of the information I am now using.

Jack, could you be suggesting that Football is a little bit gay when of course the is nothing even remotely gay about AFL? I would have to agree, I can't imagine any homosexual men being even the slightest bit drawn to watch AFL what with those skin tight vests and micro shorts. Must be a big turn off for them

So we have Aussie Pub, Sports Bar, Irish Clock and Eddies.

An Udon pub crawl is not that difficult, suppose a 1/2 time dash up to see Jack is possible, even just to drop the tissues off and back to get the last winning 1/4 for the Saints.

Up there Cazaly in there and fight !

At Jingjoes AUSSIE BAR, we will be watching a real footy game cawled Australian Rules. A full on crash, tackle, kick and run game, not for the faint hearted.

So if your interested, come along to the AUSSIE bar between Makro and the railway lines or just follow the yellow and black kangaroo signs.

We will also be watching the NRL GF next weekend.

Thanks Rob.

I am ready for the GF and the Rugby semi later on that night. Four and twenty pies in the freezer, a bucket of prawns ordered and copious amounts of Carlton Cold quietly chilling.

Life in Noosa is great...

John

U still owe me 1 kg of Flatties ! remember ??

Dont forget to leave the fuel cap open on the mower for Bathurst, so the fumes waft inside for ultimate aroma of the V8's.

Never mind Kev, you know Melbourne. Half an hour later the Sun will be shining with 35 degree heat :D and half an hour after that it'll Snow  I lived on a farm in Hastings for three years growing Strawberries, what an experience that was :D

Oh......I don't know!

I am predicting 34 degrees and very humid, with the chance of a heavy thunderstorm (30%). :D

Perfect weather for consuming bitterly cold Leos, and watching the Handbaggers triumph over the Soapdroppers by around 30 points :drunk:
