I suspect 2.6Million Baht is just the tip of the iceberg. I think the final damage will be much larger. He definitely had to leave the country. No way he could stay in Thailand and live. He had better pray he doesn't get extradited back,,,, his life isn't worth a plugged nickel if he doesn't have any money to give restitution to the victims.

An elderly European gentleman has been defrauded by G. Meadows of Udon Property and Land. The customer gave Mr. Meadows 2.5 million B deposit for the purchase of one of the housing development properties advertised on the Udon Property and Land web site.

So that's GBP 47000.

Also a hotel owner was scammed out of 100,000 baht from G. Meadows. The hotel owner has known GM for some time and felt he could trust him, he then acted as guarantor for GM to borrow a sum of money. The debt was never paid back leaving the hotel owner to pay back the money.

And that's about GBP 1900.

That's enough for our Gareth to live comfortably off for a year or so. It's only the money that we know about as well.

i can confirm that mr meadows is in the philppines and mr s.slade was meant to be coming back to Thailand but has now cancelled that idea !! , i wonder why ?

Mr S contacted me via email 3 weeks ago. He said he was staying at his condo in Bangkok. However the IP address in the mail header shows the IP address location as Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

Keep up the good work BM since you are logged in for many hours per day,never noticed myself that he must have logged in at sometime.

Don't think he would log on.......its just that if he obviously has T'internet connections ie changing facebook photo...and giving a false location as Nottingham of all places.. he would sure as eggs are eggs be reading Udonmap(where it all started in the Northeast) and the posts, could even be having a right royal chuckle about the whole thing and our posts.............its a fact that they always return to the scene...one way or another..

If anyone wants to send the G-man a message just post it here...and he will pick it up when he reads the forum from his 'new' real estate office in the Phillipines.....or Boston...or Nottingham....

I'm posting with the hope that one of the seasoned observers of life in Udon reading this blog may have information to share that will make it possible for me to gain contact with Gareth Meadows (see attached pic), owner of Udon Land and Property, a local real estate company.

For 6 months or so, Mr. Meadows has been acting as rental agent for my Thai girlfriend's house and land in Udon while she stays in the US. For the past three weeks, she and I have been attempting to reach him by phone and email in order to discuss urgent business matters. None of our messages have been returned. Neighbors of his business office have told us that the office is rarely if ever open. He has taken a long time responding in the past, but nothing like thi

Cannot find Mr Slades facebook although plenty of Slade's about.Not coming back,pun on his name,Slade as in Slade prison from those comedy days of Porridge or maybe he has not got his passport to travel

Four peaks Residence thread mentioned having 3 longterm rentals in place so maybe one of the farang renting can shed some light on what he looks like.
