Charoensri Grand Royal Hotel Cafe?

Post by loytoy » June 1, 2006, 9:11 pm

Don't recall the name but it's on the ground floor where they serve the breakfast. Is there still a cafe with singers in the evening? last three times I have been spent every night there and one of the best in Thailand. If it's gone I will stay at another hotel.

There is a karaoke place on the ground floor where you can order food, and the company of a stunning hostess.

I think you must mean the Cafe, some very good singers there, and the in house massage is good also  I'll still stay there then.

Down the stairs that lead to the car park there is a kareoke bar, don't know good or bad, never go in there. Can't stand listening to drunken Thais of any gender trying to sing and managing instead to sound like a cat wailing. However alongside is the cocktail lounge, about 15, nicely dressed young ladies who will sit and hold your hand on comfortable settees while you listen to pleasant music from a local combo and three lady singers. They don't normally pester for drinks but remember they are working girls, so if nothing is forthcoming they will leave in about half hour for pastures new. There are private rooms available for those that don't want to be seen.
The drinks are quite reasonably priced for a hotel establishment. If you get there about 9.00pm they will all be sitting in a row on bar stools behind the bar and you just start conversation with the one you like. They are all stunners but sorry they don't speak much English.

They still have singers and a man playing a piano in the dining area during the evenings. This is located to the right of the lobby area as you walk in to the hotel.

However the live music/restaurant area to the left of the lobby has been replaced by a large italian restaurant and steak house.

The Karaoke bar and the Cocktail bar (with the Hostesses) are actually on the sub ground floor level, assuming you consider the entrance lobby to be the ground floor. Though of course like Val, I have never been there, and no Beer Monkey, I don't know the girls names!

By the way, what is a VIP room??!! 8)

Is it a sound-proofed room for those that can't sing? :?

Guess I really got to start getting out again, had no idea there was a floor below the lobby, much less anything else :?
