Well to give a pre Udon experience, drove wife, daughter and grand-daughter to Eastbourne from London. Hoping to have a walk at the worlds most used suicide spot Beachy Head, cliffs that have a 535 feet drop.It is a very beautiful walk along the top of the cliffs, as long as you stay away from the edge, especially if the wife is behind you! But we got down there too late for Beachy Head, and ended up walking along the front, and on the pier there. Nice sunny day, though cool.

Meal at Isobel's restaurant, and wife wanted to look at Estate Agents there for some reason. All quite nice, for a Brit day out.

You're probably safe at present, Phil. But my crystal ball suggests you'd be wise to avoid clifftops.

Thank you Brian for your advice! The last time i was at Beachy Head i did think when looking over the edge, a sudden movement behind me, which i suspect was someone getting ready to give a subtle push! With the £460,000 house paid off plus a £100,000 cash, plus pensions, i think i would be advised to keep well away from the edge with any cliff walk, unless i wanted to leave a very very happy widow.

Today I phoned the wife in Udon as and hope to meet here in udon in the next few weeks . It will be my 3rd visit in under a year

Hi Udon-Tuk-Tuk. I thought you were already here as two days ago you were wandering around the shopping complex spending all your hard earned cash!!

Anyhow, I am not sure I would do it all again. There used to be an odour of cigarette smoke in our bedroom when I didn't smoke, my wife didn't smoke .... only my wife's brother smokes who used to drop by, normally when I was out, to fix things around the house. Apparently there was a continual plumbing problem in our adjoining bathroom ; I didn't notice it. I told her I didn't want her brother smoking when working inside and removed the ashtrays. She left me.

So all I can do now is troll through Udonmap posts made by MIGHTY CHANG, which, of course, was a mode of transportation before, say, a Tuk-Tuk in Udon Thani :-"

Went to my ENT specialist....walked in, waited 5 minutes, he removed a corn cob from one ear and a potato from another. Out in 10 minutes. 120 baht.
