Bit of a shocker of a week for me
The mainstays of my squad have been Torres and Drogba but looks as though Torres could be out for a bit and Drogba was due a low score,I guess.
Van Persie with 7 and Lampard with 6 were my only reasonable scorers.....defence dreadful,as usual.
So the first week of November....chance of the title gone, manager under pressure, half the squad not good enough......hmmm,I've heard that somewhere else recently. :-k

At a "crisis meeting" held at Shirkers Stadium this morning, the Chairman and Mr Chris Talmighty have descided that it would be best for the team/sponsors/supporters, if the rest of Chris's contract were terminated.
The Chairman stated that he would like to thank Mr Chris Talmighty for the sterling work he has done whilst being manager of the Shirkers, but he realised that something had to be done, when the whole team were forced to attend the Shirkersville Church fete on the morning of a game.
The final straw came this weekend when the Shirkers were left needing two Liverpool players to score some points (a hopeless situation as all will know!!), just to add some respectability to the weeks score.

The chairman has appointed Mary Maggie Delainey (Chris's number two) as caretaker manager, after he located her moonlighting in a bar in Udon last night. A "short time" contract was agreed for her to take over until a new "long time" manager could be found.

Well it's worth a try :D
She is known to have "a good heart", as was seen when she visited Mr Chris Talmighty, during his time when he was just hanging around feeling cross with himself.

Blinking pre-madonna's. He should try it for 14 hours, not blooming 6.
My plans for next week are in tatters. Looking forward to a pointsfest with Cashley and Lamps V Wolves and they are both out. Struggling to get 11 fit players out. Looks like another 4 point hit. :(
The misses has her finger over the WC button. Had big argument. May end in divorce. :D

If it wasn't bad enough already with me struggling to get a side out, now Drogba could be out. :D

To add insult to injury he got a yellow card for chesting Evans dangerously high boot.

What a joy it is to wake up on a Sunday morning with the Sun shineing through the curtains and the birds singing, and know, THERE'S NO WAY THAT MY FANTASY TEAM CAN RUIN THE DAY. :content:

Made some transfers to take advantage of the "double-bubbles" before the prices went up and, of course, should have waited but will need Drogba in my lineup. Let's see, which one of these double-bubblers is gonna be my captain? :-k

Drogba was thought to have broken ribs but scans were clear so maybe back 18/11 against Germany? That's good news. Ashley Cole may be out for an additional month with the fractured tibia. Not so good. Here's a link some of you may already have but it's a good one to check on those injuries:

I think that those of us who brought in,or already had,Jermaine Defoe must be congratulating ourselves.
I'm just sorry I didnt make him my captain !
But top score of the week,up to now,an excellent 84 by Galee who goesto the top of the league. =D>

A good week for me, which I'm surprised about after the injuries I had earlier. Big slice of luck with Bullard.
The wife is not so happy. She took ages picking a squad with her WC, only for it to flop.
Fixtures look tricky next week, I have to many players playing each other.

Cheers BM. I watched Hull's previous game against Stoke and thought Bullard looked useful, so that was in the back of my mind last week. No room for sentimentality though. He'll be getting the boot soon.

Maybe I'm being a bit greedy, but I feel disapointed with my score, even though it was my best ever.
Looked at the Hull result and saw they had scored 3, thought good, Bullard must have had a hand in one of them, double points for my captain, and as Zidane says, " He didn't bloody well play".
How much rest does a professional footballer need between games? Blinking prima donas. Paid a fortune to sit on his arse.

Had exactly the same feelings when I saw they had scored three ............. if he didn't score or get an assist then he will have got a couple of bonus points .......
Oh well, I suppose he is just returning from a long injury, and the boss obviously made a good call, coz they won without him.

Just a "heads up" for week 17 guys (just before xmas) ........ There are only 8 games, STOKE, FULHAM, HULL, EVERTON do not play, so if you have your team packed with these players, it might be wise to transfer a couple out now. Last year, when the same thing happened, I thought I would wait till the last minute to do the transfers, and then I got hit by a couple of injuries and a suspension the week before, and ended up fielding 9 players

Sorry about the noise BM. I'll try and be a bit quieter next time. :D

Yes, lucky with the sub. Fortunately my first choice didn't play.
