Golfing instructions in Udon

Post by Golfer-to-be » June 28, 2006, 5:31 pm

Hello,
I understand that there are quite a few golfers among the Forum Members.
Can anyone advise me where I should look for a very patient golf instructor who could give me lessons in the Udon area?
I am in my sixties, I am an absolute beginner and possibly also a slow learner when it comes to sports.
Thanks

Us golfers have all had to start from scratch.

My advice would be to get the basics right first. IE. grip, posture, balance etc. Then be prepared for years of frustration. :D

Once you start hitting a few good shots, your be hooked, but be aware it's a love-hate relationship. Just when you think you've got the game licked, it will come back and hit with avengance.

One big adavantage from playing golf is the social scene. My experience of golf in Udon is limited, but the players I have met have all been nice blokes and this easies my worries about re-locating to Udon.

Gary.

I'm a beginner -- made the mistake of expressing mild interest but said I had never gotten my hands on left-handed ladies clubs. Stephen walked in the the next weekend with (you guessed it) a brand-new set of ladies left-handed clubs, bag, glove.

This weekend is my first round. Why he's looking forward to the Gulf Coast, in July, in near 100F heat with 90% humidity, I don't know.

Wish me luck.

I need a gin and tonic just thinking about it.
