Reduced price home on the Maekong

Post by nkstan » June 7, 2010, 6:28 am

I can not resist commenting on this ad!I have absolutely no stake or self interest in the property,I do have a 1 acre lot for sale on the Maekong myself! So in a sense ,I am a competitor!

I personally know this property and the owner, watched its construction which was keenly overseen.Quality thinking and experience was there to insure the details! And the upkeep and maintenace has been topnotch!

If anyone is interested in getting full value for their money and can afford it,this property could not be duplicated for the price now asked, not in land value, location or quality of workmanship!

I have not seen the owner for some time,The last time I saw him was when he and his wife were moving and planning to build in Chiang Rai as she was entering University there,if I remember right!

And before the wisecrackers come out of the woodwork, let me say, that this post is done as a service to anyone interested in buying,I owe no allegiance to anyone concerned!

Hi Stan,
You are correct about the move to Chiang Rai thus the reason for the sale of the house. We had figured that we would move back in 4 years but have since finished a house up here and have adapted to life here.
It is my hope that who ever buys the house is some one that can appericate it and enjoys living there as much as I and my wife did.
We both miss Nongkhai but as you know the universty system there is not to good ( to say the least ! ) Anyways take care and hope to see you some day

Thanks Stan but it is a little further from "civilization" than I would like.

The house is located 2.5km from the evening market ( Thalat Wat Tat ) on the east end of town just before you reach Moo Ban Had Khum were you will find a number of Fish Restaurants ( Nui Plaw Pao ) being the best known.
Also there is several small stores and business just a short walk from the house.
My former neighbor lived there for more than year with only a bike ( the peddel kind ) and never had a issue.
The house is positioned between 2 other falang houses so there is very little noise yet close to the markets etc metioned above.
Anyways for what its worth, thats the story
