I thought I would share this picture of a Jermaid (Pacu) caught yesterday by one of our regular customers who was delighted with his catch, I will upload other pictures taken earlier this week of Mekong Catfish and Siamese Carp bothover 2o Kilos in size. We have introducted a new rule where customers are not allowed to empty their unused bait into the pond as this just feeds the fish making it harder for other anglers to catch fish. We again would like to advise that we have a single hook policy and this also applies to children as a hook is the same regardless of who uses them. The new fish will be arriving very shortly, we have already agreed purchase and are just awaiting delivery. We would also advise that the Park is no longer for Sale and all efforts to "get it right" are being addressed. \:D/

I cought one of these at Sabai Sabai in July. 2,2kg's on the scales. Took it home and filled it with lemon grass etc. wrapped it in aluminium foil and bunged it on the barbeque. Tasted fantastic, saap saap...

We are still waiting for our new Jeramid to be delivered, we expect this to happen sometime tomorrow, we have been advised that this lot are 5-6 kilo's minimum in weight and we have bought the whole pond. I will post when they are going to arrive so that anyone who wishes can be there to see for themselves that when we say we are going to do something, we actually do, unlike many of our competitors!!. Please remember there are still many many many fish over 4 kilos already in the ponds. Some people prefer to take home smaller sized Jeramid about 0.7 to 1.5 kilo therefore we purchased several hundred kilos of this size too, these will arrive in the Park about 6.00 o'clock tonight. All fish arriving tonight will be put in a separate pond stocked only with Jeramid.

Tightlines Paul

Paul,
As you know I fish Sabai Sabai frequently, but I've never posted anything about the fishing. I've caught lots of fish there and several big ones including pla jeramid of 8 kg and 10 kg. Today Bob and I, along with Bob's friend who is visiting Udon Thani had a great day fishing. I'm not sure how many they caught, but I landed 15 jeramid that went from 0.5 kg to 3.0 kg. I also caught a very nice gorami (pla raad) that was over 2.0 kg. Bob also caught a gorami that weighed a bit over 2.25 kg.

Khun Apple was very attentive as usual and the stir-fried shrimp and cashews were quite tasty. It was another fine day at the pond and quite enjoyable. I didn't photograph and of the jeramid as the biggest was only 3.0 kg or so, but pictured below is the gorami. A very nice bonus fish for a jeramid fisherman.

Keep up the good work.................Richard

Richard,

Thank you for your very kind comments, As you know I am first and formost a Fisherman so it does upset me when people complain there are no big fish (Which real fisherman know not to be true, easy to blaim someone else!!), Tomorrow we have arriving at 11.00 about 1 ton (1000 KG) of Giant Mekong Catfish Mimimum size 5 kg again I offer anyone who doesnt believe me to show up about this time to witness. I cannot guarantee you will catch one as it depends on many things like weather, type of bait, Hook size and how good a fisherman you are etc etc. I have also Big size Jeramid and Panine arriving in the next few days. I am happy for people to take home any size up to 4 kilo but above will also retain for everyone else to enjoy!! I have several ponds that I keep (Fishing Free) to grow good sized healthy fish for the future. Anyone who decides to fish these ponds regardless of my staffs requests not too will be banned from future fishing as I wish to keep improving the size and qualitity of fish available.

Regards Paul

Last week I made a comment about not seeing anyone catch a decent sized fish on that particular day. I would like to make it clear that I did not intend or imply that there is a scarcity of fish in the ponds. There has always been plenty of fish at Sabai Sabai and as Paul has said they are getting harder to catch.
However, yesterday (Saturday) I saw more fish than I’ve seen in a lifetime being put into the ponds, the fish are there, it’s just finding the correct bait/skill. I’ll be back there again in a few days.

Thanks for all the kind comments

Today we have arriving Giant Gourami theseare very rare and we have been lucky enough to find 4-5 Kilo sized fish. These fish are expensive but great fish and well worth the expense to keep the Park at the front of fishing in Udon. We also have more Jeramid arriving this afternoon. If you hvent seena giant gourami before here is a picture

Aardvark,

I dont actually remember O/T buying any part of Sabai Sabia Fishing Park, So not sure where comment about him watching and throwing people out comes from certainly not from the owners but then O/T seems to think he can do anything he wants!!!Aardvark dont worry we have XXL size in Stock.

O/T if you want to eject people then maybe you need to think about buying a 1/2 share in the park otherwise you really cant say anything about the MY rules.

Finally we received a delivery today of more Jeramid and Gourami, Not think about customers here but I had a great time fishing and couldnt stop the fishfrom taking my hook, I had give up as out of power!!! but great day had by all

regards Paul

Wow, I think even lardy knows when OT is playing.
Generally speaking, OT does do whatever he wants.

Paul I doubt O-T has time to attend Sabai Sabai. He tends to do the majority of his fishing on the Udon Map forum. :D

Yes O/T I know you well, I take it you will be looking to buy a job lot of t-shirts for all the "Well Fit" birds we hear about, drop me a PM with all their sizes and we will get them ready, Once I know Quantity and sizes we can discuss discount :-$

On a more serious note for the 3rd day in a row we have more Jeramid about 200 fish each 2-3 kilos in size arriving about 5pm today \:D/

Thanks Mate, never took O/T seriously [-X after all, he is just a Keyboard Commando (who served in the SAS) and will probably be more interested in his "Well fit Birds" than a "Well fit" Aussie fighting machine like me ;) :D
