Horse Racing
Horse Racing
Just got back to Cha Am from my "scouting visit" in Udon Thani where I'm thinking of moving to on a permanent basis.
Likes: Enjoyed the horse racing (and betting) which apparently takes place most Saturday. If I lived in Udon I think this would be a regular event for me.
Enjoyed looking at the pretty girls who seem to always take on the "always look on the bright side of life" attitude despite poverty and lack of opportunities.
Enjoyed hanging out with my adopted Thai family (must learn Thai)
Enjoyed the 10 pin bowling, good lanes, friendly staff, lively atmosphere.
Went to the new Zoo on the way to Khon Kaen. Weird place! Not quite finished but enjoyed getting around on the electric golf buggies although very dangerous routes with sheer cliff drops. I think there's going to be a terrible accident there one day.
Enjoyed the impromptu bar massage at the Black Butterfly Bar.
Enjoyed getting involved in this forum.
Nice authentic "get away from it all" restaurants on various spots around the ring road.
Enjoyed 3 bacardi & cokes at Mr Tongs.
Disliked: Udon Thani is quite a dreary place to look at. I found the surroundings a bit depressing.
Udon seems to have a lot of self opinionated right wing neo-cons! Not sure I could integrate well in the Farang community.
The bar bill at Mr Tongs!
Regretted: Not visiting the Irish Bar "The Claremon" (or something like that?)

Re: Horse Racing
We? who are you referring to? Are you the spokesperson for the forum?nkstan wrote:Stay where you are,we will try to import the horse races and Mr.Tong to Cha Am
Re: Horse Racing
I would bet that there are enough on the forum to support my idea that ''we'' would be much closer to being a ''FACT'',than some of the stuff you claim to be fact!Jockey wrote:We? who are you referring to? Only an idiot would surmise that there could possibly be a ''spokeperson'' for a public forum!

Maybe we should start a new thread, called "Spot the Troll"!
Re: Horse Racing
While I dread the thought of anyone thinking I'm a neo-con, I'd prefer that label to one who believes in far-fetched conspiracy theories. Of course, I have no proof that those theories are not true.......nor can I prove that UFOs aren't real.
