Udon to Nong Khai
What's the best and easiest way to get to Nong Khai from Udon? (if you don't have a car or motorbike).

I grew up at a time when we could hitchhike and I did.Had great experiences!Met the greatest people!Of course that is a long gone pleasure that borders on insanity, but ,when I see people on the road ,especially very hot days,I have the strongest urge to give them a lift!My wife had a coniption fit and explains that we don't do that in Thailand!!!
""I know darling,it was just a thought''!
That is why I didn't list hitchhiking, but ,I thought about it!
Can you imagine a falang hitch hiking in Thailand,''oops, there goes the rolex'',''haha it was fake'',BANG!!''Ow,that couldn't have been karma??""

Udon to Nong Khai`
go to the main bus terminal near the Complex.
- next to the last pull-in near snack bar on left is Nong Khai bus slot.
- buy your ticket from the seller.
- bus is A/C and leave a number of times per day to Nong Khai.
- bus will drop you off on the route wherever you say stop.
- If you're going to Lao, get off at Tesco Lotus Nong Khai and take a tuk-tuk to the bridge.. chearper and fater than driving into the center of Nong Khai and getting ripped off by the Tuk-tuks at the city bus station.
Oh, as I recall it's abou 45 baht for the A/C bus and takes less than an hour to get to Nong Khai...
Yes, you can go all the way to the north side bus station west of Tesco Lotus Udon (about 3km) on the loop road for more frequent busses but it's a pain in the dak...
