What a treat on Saturday watching Geoff using all the techniques he has been shown since the club started (without any help!!) to finally overcome the dutch master with combination play, pins, discovered checks and mating attacks. Well done Geoff. Hope the clock is ok Martin!!

When I drove home I was considering giving up playing chess. What a disaster!!
But I found out why! I ran my beer-program on my TI83 calculator and discovered what went wrong.
The average was ok, but my standard-deviation was a bit low this saterday.
Beer number 6 killed me. Gauss-curve was running very steep at that time!
Additional condition: it was the 13th of 11th month. Why do people play chess on such a date?!

.... ok, ok. I admit. You both played a GREAT game!!!!! =D> cu next saterday! I have been warned!

Due to changes in some members personal circumstances the Chess Club now starts at 13.00 every Saturday at Nobis (opposite Top Mansion). All players are welcome from novice, "haven't played for years", to grandmaster!!

Due to Songkran there will be no chess this week (16th of april 2011).
Next week, normal again: Nobis bar, saterday 23rd of april, from 1.00 pm.
However, Mike and me will be playing this week (16th) at the Soul bar from 1.00 pm.
In for a game? Adress? Do a search of the forum, it will be around somewhere.
