It is blatantly obvious that for whatever reason this post has degenerated into a farce, we have on the one hand an OAP sipping a Coke and then we now seem to have to Eastern men who are well connected ,who are as corrupt, as well as the officials they apparently know here, behaving badly.
If it wasn't so silly I would have thought it is a film script.
There are always people behaving badly here, if not foreigners then it is Thais, same , same everywhere. Some posters live in another world of that I am sure, some offer sensible advice, then we have newbies who for whatever reason try and make us believe their rhetoric as gospel.
Can we please close this post before it gets even more ludicrous and thwart those that are offering ever more fantastic scene, surrounding an incident which would probably pass unnoticed as is was a verbal exchange and nothing more.
This is the second time of asking and unless the Moderators have another agenda to follow it should be closed NOW.

Why should the Moderation Team close this thread?
What rule has it offended that requires its' closure?
It is impossible to word a rule that requires posters to post with common sense, so individual posters really have their personal responsibility for that.
I am, frankly, astounded that people post their view & then say this post should be closed. Why? Is your personal opinion the only one necessary & now no one else's view is required?
The quickest way for a thread to disappear is not to post on it & if someone else posts on it still do not post on it. Quite simple really.
The moderation team are here to ensure that posters follow the rules of the forum. They are not here to protect them from a team of international criminals, nor to stop them reading drivel - members have their own personal responsibility to do that....

as this keeps going on i have a question and a story,
i will turn the question ( as they did with the UDP farang copy my work topic) if this would have happened in a thai restaurant involving only thai people, would it also got the attention as this one got ( 5 pages all ready?), (as now it is a farang in a well known farang restaurant) i do not think so.....
the story: long time ago we ( 4 people)where eating at the corner of a restaurant at second road pattaya) , we saw a limping dog wanting to cross the side street as a car turned slowly in to the street and gave the dog a bump , making him fall over ,( but was ok ) my friend and i jumped up from our chairs ( we love dogs) , and i ran behind the car and kicked his rear bumper
( i was still ignorant than and not speaking 1 word thai) the guy stopped and came out of the car asking me why i kicked his car , i asked him why he hurt the dog ( he clearly saw him ) , first he answered the dog is not hurt and second he told me it was his dog, my first reaction to this
, but than i told him even his dog , no need to treat him like this,
all of a sudden we where surrounded with many thai men ( no idea where they came from) , one standing right in front of my face holding a butcher knife,asking me why i kicked car friend? at that moment my wife intervened ,start explaining in thai and the incident ended peacefully ...., after she was pretty pissed of at the 2 us and told us if next time we try to pull a stunt like that , she would walk away and leave it up to us, getting killed for stupid thing....
moral of this story : ( sometimes
) listen to the wise advice of the wife.....
now many years later ( not so ignorant any more) if it would have been me having a drink there and i would have been disturbed by load, rude talking farang ( international criminal , osama bin laden,what ever ) i would have gep tang
( check bill ) and go have a drink somewhere else,and let it go.... hoping next time i come back they will not be there also, and if they would be there disturbing again , i would leave it up to the owner to complain , as it is not my job to play law and order
as for those who can not let it go, go have a drink and grab a bite to eat in the clock, i am sure trevor would not mind the extra customers , but if he would like the extra questions that only trevor knows......
but keep whining on for many more pages is not really helping anybody....
most important , ,i hope this incident does not damage the reputation of the clock and wish them all luck....
last remark , if it wasn't posted here at the first , it would have not be known worldwide....
