In the ten years living within the Udon Province I can't ever remember it being so cold heading into the summer hot season. Right now I abandoned my usual Thursday afternoon beer in town and went home early, fully clad in everything I could find that looked like a 'Woolie'

I aint no scientist but the weather all over the world is messed up , the seasons are moving and getting harsher , crazy highs n lows numerous natural disasters ,,,,,,, could we see in years to come a nice thick covering of snow on Adunyadhet rd ? salting trucks n snow ploughs deployed in Ban Dung ,, snowed in at Eddies bar ,,, i know one things for sure is gonna get mighty wet around here in mid April !!

Just got back from a jog around Nong Prajak. Had the whole place for myself

But it was cold even for me, luckily there was some hot water left in the shower $\:D/$

During 19-21 Mar, rising in temperature with haze in the daytime and isolated to widely scattered thundershowers mostly in the western part. Easterly wind 10-30 km./hr. After that 22-23 Mar, Widely scattered to scattered thundershowers.

As you can see minimum 14 degrees is COLD for this time of year.
The week after the average minimum is up 9 degrees on that...& another couple of degrees the week after that.

I have a digital weather station in my home, with a remote sensor outside.
It showed 14.5. Outside.
21.1 inside the house, and we only had all the Aircons in the house serviced ready for the hot season, normally on full whack this time of year.
Got two duvets on the bed, and the missus is sleeping wearing a woolly hat.
The shower heater is turned fully into the red zone.

Hi,
Very cold yesterday. Weather station i have showed the temp., in the daytime, to be 20.7C max. when i checked back on the night time temp, it was only 17C. Cold. Right now, 0740Hrs it is 17.6C. About a average U.K. summers day.
Mind you the rain helps, don't have to water the garden.
Welcome to sunny Thailand. Coldest if seen in the six years iv'e lived in Udon.

The current temperature forecast for Udon Thani on Monday, March 21st is over 100F, so I wouldn't complain too much about this weather.

11:05 AM, 15.5 Deg C outdoors here in the rice paddies of Ban Dung. Completely overcast with drizzle all morning along with a smoke haze, Thais are burning everything they can find to get warm.

No I'm not complaining either just it is an unusual event being felt right through out the Kingdom.

Perishing isn't it.

I've just been to a Thai Wedding this morning, - sat outside under the proverbial marque. Oh for one of those Korean barbeques to huddle round.

Will have to go home and get the hair dryer out!

The weather forecast is that this cold wet weather should slowly clear away later today.

i remember about ten years ago we were staying in the village and all the kids had like gravel rash on there cheeks and i said to the missus whats happened to them she said its been so cold the skin on there faces have dried up from the cold wind,but from memory it was only cold in the morning and night,by ten in the morning it was up to 26 degrees.

t'ain't nuthin' why I remember back in the winter of 73 when the various scummy puddles around my slum behind Paradise pool actually had a skin of ice on em'.. Now that was cold!! (at least for Thais... t'was agaht yen sabai sabai for me). As I recall even Udon had some of the poorer folks sleeping outside downtown dying of exposure from the cold.

Hi,
According to my weather station, temp. yesterday never reached 20C. Max. was 19.6C. Bloody cold. coldest i have seen in Udon, in the six years i've lived here.
Still we have to be grateful, temp at this time 1230Hrs is 28.1C, wall to wall blue sky and a big yellow thing up there, lovely.
