Stan, I'm still trying to explain it to my wife. Even with the help of a dictionary!! :? I can't really explain the pun on "gums"! :?

That's something I miss in LOS, being able to make puns and have people understand them. Sorry to those Forum members who get p'd off with them. The Forum is my only outlet! :D

 This is really funny :!: She didn't get the ''pun'' on gum(by definition ).She pictured him having sticky glue on his false teeth  Same result, without the mental wit
:) She does have a large ''American'' vocabulary and understands most of a normal conversations.''Sense of humor''is still confined to her native language  I keep forgetting that, and find myself talking to the ''confused''look, when trying to pop a joke with her :!: ''It's a joke honey'',''ooh'' :? :?

Yes, I suppose 80% of the humour would be visualising Cliff with his false teeth stuck together, in a sort of perpetual GRIN. :D :D

The pun on "gums" only really constitutes say the extra 20% humour - like the sticky icing on the cake!!

True, but at least he wouldn't then be able to rotate the grin through 90 or even 360 degrees, like at present!!!!

  The reason his head needs to swivel around like that is so he can keep a lookout for ''The Thumb'' :!:

Val: No premiership football this weekend, it's England versus Andorra.

Where do you hang out in the night market?

I'm normally stuck in the wives restruant near the train station, I'm allowed out after 21:00, where will people be?

I'm guessing that from 8pm onwards we'll be at the Downunder Bar.

I'll be the first to report, this months meet, fresh off the press, from Downunder Bar via the net in the Jan Codotel room .

I enjoyed the meet with the few faces who turned up, Doc was downunder early in the night, Lee had a comanding view of the place from his perch in the middle of the bar, I think he 's ass was stuck to the seat, never got around to intruducing my to lee, But had a good chin wag with LA, nice to see the family there, Pops busy with the pool table, and the rest was history for me at 11 PM time for my trip back to the camp before they relise I have gone AWOL

Had about a 3 hour ''jabber'' session with 3 other Americans at the night market.Had my fill of alcohol with the drive back to NK facing me!Stopped by the Downunder for a moment to say hello, saw Lee and Arjay in ''supportive'' positions at the bar.
I think this was the first time, since being in Thailand, that in a group setting, all the falangs were Americans! Not sure what importance that has to anything, but it was an enjoyable experience none the less!
