As reported by several NY news reports,,,,,,, He very possibly may have more serious concerns,,,, they are reporting the West African woman in question has had at least 2 NY apartments dedicated to those with HIV/AIDS,,,,,, stay tuned,,,, if he (or his lawyer) request a blood test that seals it for him.

And as far as France being upset,,, so what,,,, they created that situation when they refused to extradite Roman Polanski to the US for trial. ow they have to live with No-bail etc.

I wasn't aware you could catch HIV from oral sex -particularly from when it is (from what I have seen) attempted (and only alleged of course).

Can you enlighten me LL.

Jack,,,without being too graphic, I think it may be totally dependent on whether she scratched or bit him (and where)..... if there was a struggle and DNA was exchanged (under her fingernails, on her dress, etc) he's guilty anyway .
Am definitely not an expert but I understand any opening in the skin could be a source of transmission,,, by either parties. Yes?

Another thought,,,,,,,, if it were you ,,,,,,,, would you literally bet your life on the assumption HIV/AIDS can't be passed thru oral sex? ,,,,,,,,,,,, Not me!

Also no expert LL, but from my understanding (and a bit of reading), the risk of catching HIV to either the giver or the taker engaged in oral sex is miniscule - even where one of the participants is HIV positive.

It is a risk I would have (and did) take, albeit not with a woman I knew to have HIV.

Anyway, back to Mr Strauss-Khan.

The criminal case against ex-IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, accused of sexually assaulting a New York hotel maid, is reportedly on the verge of collapsing.

The New York Times, citing two unnamed law enforcement officials close to the case, reported on Thursday that prosecutors did not believe much of the story told by the French politician’s accuser - a Guinea-born hotel maid - and that she had repeatedly lied to them since the May 14 alleged attack.
Prosecutors will likely tell the court later today, when Strauss-Kahn is set to make an unexpected reappearance ahead of the next scheduled hearing on July 18, that they “have problems with the case,” in contrast to their once steel confidence in the evidence against him, according to the Times.............

A set up gone bad with he maid getting a better offer no doubt and folding like the Chinese origarmi champion , expect to hear a lot more ref the DNA evidence etc.

If innocent,he is surly paying a high price.I would guess it was a set up to ruin his political chances.I think this,because I believe there would have been loads of money spent to the alleged victim,if he were indeed guilty.
Very few rich and powerful people ever let something like this get known,they throw obscene amounts of money at the victim!

He can forget politics,no matter ,what the outcome as he has been smeared!

I think the point is that there is another French **** heading up the IMF, the current French President's political girlie if I'm not mistaken who was his finance minister and She will be whole different kettle of fish than the previous incumbent

Do the French have sole rights to this position or what , must have be some one else other than a Frenchman or woman who even was considered , maybe Ken Dodd or Harry Redknapp should have applied thhe were brilliant with numbers n tax stuff!!.

There were other candidates but the decision was purely Western as the largest donors are from Western countries, Lagarde was seen as safe hands as her economic model(s) are Anglo saxon orientated and not Gallic.

Harry was disbarred due to tax reasons and Ken Dodd at 83 was seen as to inexperienced as he is a scouser and Gordon Brown disbarred himself for being unelected priminister who lost an election to two nine bob notes.

The timing is troubling too. They release these findings one day after the Greek vote and Lagarde's confirmation. But the phone recording of the maid's conversation with her pal in jail about getting financial rewards, that took place one day after the arrest. Why did the prosecutor wait five or six weeks?

Apparently his policy was to sell off the USD and buy Euro, it certainly has a smell to it, steping on the toes of a certain country can be quite risky. His wife at this stage remains by his side, if it was true I dont think a wife would remain with a rapist husband, however his future in politics is now over, the truth will no doubt come out years from now.

If the charges against DSK are dropped, I don't agree that his political career is over - particularly as that career would be in France, and that he was favoured to beat Sarkozy next year, before these events erupted.

I doubt it will go to trial. If your only witness has zero credibility, a bit of forensic evidence (if there is any) is not going to be enough.

I don't know how much credibility you can give this rag - the New York Post - as it is owned by Rupert Murdoch, and edited by an infamous ex-Oz scandal sheet editor, Col Allan.

Anyway, according to the NYP, DSK's accuser was hawking extra services above and beyond turning down the doona at night.

I suspect it just gets worse for the prosecution.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn's accuser wasn't just a girl working at a hotel -- she was a working girl.

The Sofitel housekeeper who claims the former IMF boss sexually assaulted her in his room was doing double duty as a prostitute, collecting cash on the side from male guests, The Post has learned.

"There is information . . . of her getting extraordinary tips, if you know what I mean. And it's not for bringing extra f--individual towels," a source close to the defense investigation said yesterday................
