Hi Everyone, am back on the Forum, and I finally realised what Chern Chim meant!

Well Mash, your Kippers and Pies look fabulous and the selection of cheese was very much what I was looking for in Udon - yes, I was yearning for the familiar western food I'm used to in Singapore.

Now that I know you are really selling sausages, no offense taken - in fact I thought that was a very clever, witty way of advertising your produce...now, if you just have a disclaimer of sorts when you post that explains what you do, new readers will be able to follow your train of thought a whole lot easier.

I'm actually heading back down to Udon again, probably staying at Wan Pen Apartments, and this time, instead of taking the 8 hour bus ride down to Udon, I might want to try flying - which airline is cheap but lands safely from Bangkok?

Last week when I was writing in the forum, my guy had kind of disappeared on me for a week - he stopped taking calls except at 2am or 3am when he woke and saw my calls and he sounded terribly sick. Upon his description of a fever with chills that kept coming and going, I thought he had dengue fever or malaria which is common in Singapore but I wasn't sure common in Udon or not. Anyhow, he is back to normal and I finally deciphered that he had been taking meds that made him sleep as he was in so much discomfort, hence the strange waking hours.

Some of the replies had mentions of an Orphanage - is there really one in Udon? I was trying to find one my last two visits, but my bf claims all the children have parents. ( I have no idea how to say Orphanage, so I just said dek mai mee por mae. ) I'm actually an entertainer from Singapore, specializing in Children performances as a ventriloquist and balloon sculptor, and would love to volunteer some time and money in Udon - no orphaned lao ladies at aduly..... rd thank you.

If any of you have the time, would love to meet up during the day. I have the unfortunate affliction of waking at 8am or 9am everyday, and that definitely is a time that bf is still sleeping. Having mastered the art of catching a Sam Laew, I should be able to direct the driver to wherever you are for a spot of coffee or breakfast.

Hmm my guy cooks and washes the dishes after, he works in nightlife, seems very confident of himself, almost totally non possessive, does not get jealous, is very sweet, feeds me at times, makes me laugh ... all these were traits in Singapore. Coming to Udon, he is a whole lot more introverted, does not display much affection in public, the most was a hug. He claims that here in Udon, people are not like in Singapore, given to public displays of affection like kissing, arms around shoulders or waists, etc. Even holding my hand was a big thing to him, especially in front of his family. A chaste peck on my lips was the most he managed when he said goodbye and I was terribly disappointed actually.

He is lovely with the kids in his family - a 7 year old girl from his favourite sister Lek, 1 baby boy from his sister Lin and 1 6 year old boy from his sister Sang. He has a younger sister ( tall and beautiful ) as well as a younger brother ( tall as well ) One really strange thing is that he gives all his money earned from working in Singapore to his parents, and they give him a small allowance each day. Is this normal in udon? He says that for his family, they are not well to do - sister who stays with them earns 6k a month while parents with their own laundry business earns about 9k after deducting rental of 8k ( a three story stone house ). His younger siblings are both studying and staying with their respective faens.

The other strange thing is I saw a contact in his phone that said " mia ", which I understand is Thai for wife, but when I got my female thai friend to call the lady, she said she has a brother who worked in Singapore, for my friend didn't know my bfs name and she merely asked if she has a husband who worked in Singapore. I can't understand why the word mia is in his phone still, but both times I came to Udon, I met his family and spoke to them for extended periods of time ( the whole day and night ). I can't figure out if he is gay, bi or has a wife. Or just single but having an extremely low sex drive / desire for me.

At the moment, I can't think of the other things that irked me and made me curious about typical Udon males, but I've written quite a bit already.

Who ever posted this thread has really spent sometime on it. I can't belief it's for real though. But a good read especially when pienmash gets involved. Whoever spent the time to do this well done.

The avatar used by the OP is one also in common use on a website called Tagged like a dating/friendship site there were a few with different names strangely tho appears they have been removed. Im lead to beleive there is a website where you can get pics of tasty Thai totty for the mysterious use of ..... i may however be wrong and chanchop could be a real person with a genuine reason to utilise UM for info , on the other hand she /he could be a mass murderer lining up the next victim !!!! oh my god i must be top of the list , please dissregard all of my posts chanchop and send me ur bank details so can forward 200 quid for you to eave me alive .

Someone asked what I like about my bf.... I have no idea, just that I am happy near him, my heart beats faster when I am about to meet him everyday ( even though we have been together for 6 months ), the thought of him makes me smile ( though we have loads of arguments due to the language differences ) and he makes me laugh, no matter how bad a fight we've had.

How about a pitcure of you and your boyfriend? Or some pitcures of you when you visited Udon Thani? Surely you have pitcures maybe some of us know him. And if you are so happy with him why are you wasting your time on line with us?

Most of my pictures in Udon were of the food we ate, and as I mentioned, I didn't really get to go out much, beyond the shopping centers, my solitary walks while he was shifting house the second time I came...

By the way, is there anyway to remove the pictures after this? I don't want my bf or bf friend to stumble onto this forum by accident and wonder why I am asking.... As for the reason why I am asking, I decided to write in after one week of almost silence from him, and wanted to find out if that is typical of a Udon male..I read so much about the typical Udon lady.

Hahaha they are eating at their new home, a double storey house made of wood. First level for the laundry business and the second level's their bedrooms. I can't get used to squatting toilets and no heater, so I was really glad my bf didn't ask me to stay with him! When I head to Udon, will drop by at CC's, but what do I tell my bf / sam laew driver? No one seems to have an address in Udon, it seems all very directional!

BTW, I'm a Singaporean Chinese

Just follow the smell of fresh bread n bacon , just round the corner from the under construction Central shopping mall on Adunyadhet road , can walk or get a lift in sleepys songteaw .
You may be shocked when u meet me as i have the body and mind of a teenager trapped in the body of a 29 year old Scunthonian , if you close your eyes and imagine a cross between Brad Pitt and Ricky Martin then iam the exact opposite of that ..... i will try not to break your heart , thats before my missus breaks my jaw (again) .

Pop round for a mug a tea when ur in town luv no probs.

Chanchop's story is starting to get too many holes and contridictions. Before she said didn't know what BF did, then he was an entertainer, now he's a sam laew driver. And why would such a stunner ask advice on her Thai BF from a bunch of old geeser Farlangs? Chan-Chop? Maybe it's a new kind of pork chop for sale at CC's?
