I suppose it really depends on several things Denz.
1) Who you support and whether you want to watch with others from your team.
2)If you want a "mixed" crowd, most of whom will be neutral but take the p*** most of the time.
3) If you want to listen to English "sky" commentaters or prefer background music.
4) If your only interest is the footie or if you want a girl "sitting on your lap" whilst watching.

Several choices spring to mind:-

The sports bar will show 2 different games if there are several playing at the same time, and are pretty good at showing what the customer requires ....... ie: ASK for your teams game and you could be lucky.
The Cavern have a projector and show games in a aircon bar with the choice of still being able to watch if sitting outside. Again if the game is not on ASK. Phon tattoo next door to the cavern usually show a game on TV as do White Box. Irish clock, City Lodge, Fuzzy Ken and Beach Bar all have large screen TV's. Bookhouse probably still show games at their new location.
There's always the night market if you want to eat Thai food and watch the locals going mad over their team (Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal/Man City only  )

In truth, it's up to you to find which bar/bars provide the conditions you prefer.

Hi Denz, I'm sure that several of the bars will show your mob this week (as they are at Man utd).
keep an eye on the forum as sometimes one or two of the bar owners list what games they will be showing.
City Lodge are 100% as both managers are Man Utd fans, Pete at the Cavern in Nutty Park will show it if you ask, but there are likely to be a lot of pool players in and out as there is a pool comp on Sat night so it may be distracting (he's already agreed to show the "Toon" in the early Kick off). Very good chance that Steve will show it at Sports Bar (opposite Top Mansion) as they have two TV's. Most other places will probably depend on how many Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal/Liverpool fans are in attendance at the time.

Heads up for all footie fans. Remember the clocks have now gone back in England so all 3pm KO's will now start at 22:00 (10pm) in Thailand.

Unfortunately the clocks were all bought on tick and with the current financial problems in England the owners fell behind time on their repayments and they have been repossessed :(
Ashamed to be English since 23rd June 2016 when England voted for racism & economic suicide.

I have subscribed to truevision - and the gold package shows many live english prem games - its excellent. especially in HD.
I am fairly new to udon so not sure if there is anywhere you can see prem football for 3 am (udon time) kick off -i doubt it though.

Happen to spend a night in Udon on Tuesday. Prefer to watch Bayern-Basel NOT in our hotel room. Is there any bar that shows Champions League football? This is at 2:45am so many venues might already have closed at this time.

Thanks for any hints.

Sorry if this a stupid question but we come from the countryside in the middle of totally nowhere and have no idea what's going on in the big city

Hi FCBasel,
As I put earlier its very doubtful if you will find a bar open at that time in udon -especially as the game finishes at around 5am local time. When you get to udon it might be worth visiting the Irish clock -which is very central and easy to find. There usually several falang locals in there -they will know if such a late bar exists. Good luck.

The lobby at Ton Koon hotel is open 24 hrs and shows nightime football on projector and tv-screens (thai commentators).
