As much as I can agree with your observations that clubs with diverse membership - both culturally and
educationally - and only a small common set of interests are likely to have problems in the long run, You
should then also ask the question why forums of such expats or farangs can survive and even flourish.
The politics these organizations try to achieve do count too in any rational consideration. The Udon Expat
Club became such a degenerate bunch of people, when a few of the founders decided to become a heaven for the
criminals who escaped to Thailand. Their current slogans remind me to "Udon Criminals - friendly and safe".
What reactions of normal citizens born and educated within modern democracies do You expect when a former
president wants to enforce at membership level that they would have to destroy all "documents, photos, images, and the like contained in any emails from 'Toy Bonschu' and others who were running a vendetta against this Club and Member, or any other such materials or information"?
The e-mail I cited in my post of December 26, 2011 was one of those Toy Bonschu sent out to rather many email
addresses thought to be associated with the "Udon Criminals Club". joebloger aka downunder verified the text
as well as the fact that he still has a copy of it in his files.
