Bun Bang Fai - Rocket Festival 2012

Does anyone have the schedule of dates and activities of the Bat That (Ampur Phen) Bun Bang Fai Rocket Festival this year? If you know, I would appreciate any information that you can share. I know about the Festival in Yasothon on May11-13 but I would like to learn of any other festivals in the period from May 3 to May 14.

While out on my morning bike ride, the village rocket makers told me there's a hellacious rocket festival scheduled for today in Nongwahsaw. Don't know any other details, maybe someone in that area can provide an update.

Thanks once again Parrot - unfortunately I am still in the USA. I just found out from one of the relatives that there is a festival near Kumphawapi May1 to May 3. Since I arrive on the 2nd - I'll be there in the third. The village is Pan Daun (Dorn)?

There's a joint Nongkai/Udon rocket festival scheduled for 3-9 May in T. Ban That, A. Phen (about half the distance to Nongkai from Udon, 3-ish km off the main highway). The festivities will include a mini-marathon, beauty contest, parade, and an abundance of rockets.
