Hot springs

Post by akwoodworker » June 18, 2012, 9:09 am

Completed a 62 mile bicycle ride to the hot springs near Fairbanks, Alaska. It got me to wondering if Thailand has hot springs, the therapeutics of a hot springs is worth a lot of riding.

sure do... In northern Thailand as well as the southern area around Ranong.. http://www.thailand.com/travel/natural/ ... spring.htm Both the northern Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai area and Ranong area are on seismic fault lines which generally have plenty of hot spring areas..

Hot springs

Post by parrot » June 18, 2012, 7:34 pm

Several years ago we took our visiting daughter up north......one of the highlights was an unexpected stop at a hot springs spa......โป่งน้ำร้อนทาปาย. Besides boiling eggs in one particularly hot spot, my wife and daughter got all slathered up in mud from the hot springs...then bought a case of soap bars made from the soap. Our daughter still uses it to this day!

Thanks! I will certainly check these out. The hot springs here is good for my wife's allergies. Here the hot springs are best when it is -30 but still nice in the summer. It sure was nice after the 62 mile bike ride!
