Are there any places around Udon where there is steady and consistent wind that would be conducive to kite flying? Need to have 3 to 10 knots of wind that is not too gusty but rather steady.
Maybe out of town some or near some physical landmark that generates air movement. How about times of the year?

One of our gardeners knew how to craft the kites with the reed across the top.....they whistled in the wind. The kites were huge and required a good wind to get them airborne....but once up, they stayed up for most of the night. The best nights were when he'd launch two or three....each having its own distinctive warble. Best time for flying such kites was Jan/Feb......lots of late afternoon and evening winds.

Well I love flying kites and keep them out in the countryside! I am afraid however that November and December are the only suitable months where the wind factor is sufficient and consistent for flying kites in Udonthani!
