Not a lot of details in the link below, but:
There will be a car show at Central Plaza from 5-11 Sept. On tap: a Formula 1 car and plenty of luxury models......more than 100 promised.
If you're not into high-priced luxury cars, you can always go for the lollipops. Girly Berry (เกิร์ลลี่เบอร์ร) slated to appear (although not necessarily sporting the oranges in the song at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCryjisDqn8).....quite possibly more expensive than the Formula 1.

I stopped by for a quick look this morning......nice Formula 1 Red Bull on display, along with a 25,000,000 Lamborghini, lots of BMWs, Volvos, a new line up of Nissan, and other markers also on display. The Formula 1 girls were practicing their dance routines.....so if you're not into autos, there are other things to take pictures of as well.
And, no, the Red Bull family's damaged Ferrari was not on display.

Parrot, I was at the show briefly today, saw many beautiful models all polished up... and the cars too.

And did not see a single Volvo. I only saw the event on the 4th floor, perhaps there were other areas?

Several Volvos on display near the entrance to Robinson's......on the ??1st floor?? and next to the yellow Camaro SS. I didn't make it up to the fourth floor......guess the show was as big as advertised!!
There are photos of Volvos on UT....along with a few polished models as well.

walked through Udon Thani Hall on the 4th floor.. whew!!! talk about high end cars. I think the cheapest was a Mini-Cooper at 2.5 million Baht.. Some of the others ran 5-8 million Baht and I'd swear that there was a twin of the Black Ferrari from the Bangkok Post which purportedly runs nearly a million dollars..

Now some of the motorcycles on the 4th floor actually had approachable sticker prices which I found very surprising. A 650 Ninja running about 268000... A big V Twin Indian running 550,000 and some others that for Thailand were shockingly cheap...

The only interesting object for me was the KTM X Bow. Price tag 8,5 Mill Baht which makes it just rediculous. Thanks to the thai import taxes.

Enjoy the pictures of the cars because I think for the next two days you won't be able to get near them . It kicks off today with a Miss Issan competition and with a group 'Girly Berry" or something. Maybe will go and bring you back some pics of the action .
