Simple debate tactics don't work.

To imply that you are not what you are. And then end it with a common cliche, when there hundreds of clever jibes on hand that have been patiently awaiting their turn.

Are you red, blue, middle, neutral, or anti? Or a mix of these on various issues? (as is common, -surely no one can be 100% of one of these, except maybe a robot, or wife of one in office).

What good is it to tear down any President, R or D, in a country so divided? The country cannot be governed, -and whose fault is that?

Isn't the division more the problem? Wouldn't the best man fail? How does one resolve the current conflicts between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches? How could there be any progress?

Some useless anti-Obama rant is helpful how? In a system that was broken/()wned before he was even born, the only foolishness one can accuse him of was running in the first place. It would be wise for anyone to pass on it, -as it's no longer tenable.

If Romney wins, will you support his effort to run the country?

It would actually be interesting to find out what you actually think vs. some of the the conflicting data I've seen you post.

What's the solution for the US, WBU?

A very good and sensible post Redwolf. =D> But I guess your questions will never be answered.

I'm also curious about where the hatred comes from that some posters show on here. Wouldn't it be better to convince with facts rather than hurling insults?

Sometimes I think that there is no hope for the USA. The trenches have been dug too deep and no one is going to give an inch. It's a great nation in decline and the ones that are to blame are the very same ones who want the other side to fail, rather than acknowlishing a good idea.

Hope the future will prove me wrong

Now you're making a claim, chigger. Please provide your examples of "hatred" and "insults".

(If you're referring to any dialogue between KD and myself, you'll have to go back over a year and catch up. KD is one of the most insulting individuals on this forum. He attempts to make everything personal. It took me a long time to respond in kind because I try to stick to the topic and make anything personal, but KD only understands insults.

I'll never forget the first time. KD tried to claim that WBU stood for Wayland Baptist University and tried to make me into some Bible-thumping intolerant because of my conservative political views. KD tried to minimize my argument and attack me personally by attacking something that wasn't even factual. Even Bob Helm had to correct him and tell him he was out of line and that it stood for Water Buffalo University.)

There are three main tenets of the Founders that are not intended to have an inch given -- unless through constitutional amending and the rule of law. Defending the Constitution, promoting free enterprise and nurturing individual liberty are not to be compromised. I want anyone's idea to fail that seeks to limit any of those three. Those tenets are not to be ignored when politically expedient. There is a process for amending the Constitution, but anything that seeks to restrict supply and demand in the free market system or takes away liberties of the individual are not negotiable.

I am always amazed at those who choose to be silent and allow their liberties to be chipped away like good little slaves on the plantation. They try to justify their silence and passiveness as being unifying and helpful and patriotic in some strange way, but I am incensed at those same individuals who have the nerve to want the rest of us to be silent slaves with them when we see things that are wrong.

You're not going to run from your claims are you?

The exampes, the lists, the questions, where are they? You were so positive about this before. You spoke with such authority. And chigger even supported redwolf in his views.

This will be my last check on this. You can both rest easy as this thread begins to move down the page again.
