Sorry for the delay in response. We're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and many times I don't log on. We are posting far less than the past because after 7 months I believe the "daily readers" of UM already have decided whether to visit our establishment or not. Of course if we have some significant news we'll let everyone know. Our core of loyal regular customers, and the people they refer to us, continue to keep us quite busy.

Regarding mac and cheese, we made this as a side dish when we made meatloaf (along with mashed potatoes). It was one of our more popular dishes. Just as coincidence we'll be offering this special again this Friday. Hopefully you can make it! Also something our regulars are familiar with is the Friday specials, which sometimes carry over to Saturday if we make too much!

To anyone who would like to be notified of our specials we are starting a weekly email (NOT a daily spam!) and if you'd like to be on our list you can PM me with your email address.

Jun and I have been invited to a friend's home for Thanksgiving dinner next week. Since Jun has been working so hard and we've had a couple of the busiest weeks since opening we're going to take this opportunity for a mini vacation. We'll be CLOSED next Wednesday and Thursday (in addition to our normal Monday and Tuesday). We will reopen on Friday, 23 November. There will be no "special" that day (just our regular yummy fare

Jun and I had a relaxing couple of days on the river in Nong Khai. The hotel was next to a popular Vietnam type restaurant (Daeng). Jun was thrillled to get her noodle fix. Then there was little place inside Ta Sa Det that opened out to the river that had great grilled fish. Roxy had a good time also with many new smells and experiences.

Thanksgiving at our friend's house was a nice experience also... Turkey, Ham, fabulous stuffing, 3 kinds of potato, veggies, home made bread, pumpkin and apple pies.

We are making soft shell tacos today with CORN TORTILLAS (while supplies last).

Look for our Loy Krathong special next week!

Our regular customers are well aware by now that we stock several Belgian Beers. However, we have recently added some new varieties, one of which is dedicated to the Christmas season. Tomorrow for Loy Krathong we'll be offering a free krathong (กระทง) to anyone with a check bin of 300 baht, or more. Parking on the street SHOULD be available until at least 4PM. After 5 or 6 you wont be able to get within 3 blocks of here to park (unless you're on motorbike). I'd also advise against parking behind our building as you may get blocked in until very late in the evening! Bring your tee rak to Bubba's and celebrate with us!
