Swimming Lessons for an adult
I want to have fun and teach my lad to swim. I also want to have another form of exercise apart from cycling and walking briskly. So, I need to learn to swim!
Anyone interested in teaching me, please PM me. I have the community pool less than 10m from me across the street (inside Udon City ring road) but I am pretty mobile and could come and learn in your pool.
Thanks!

Forgot to add... I am not a cheap charlie and will pay for swim instruction. I reckon 45 minutes a day in the pool + prep time so please name your hourly rate.

Hi,
I can't figure out how to PM you so I'll just post here.
I am not really a swimming teacher but I am a PADI scuba diving intructor and I do have some experience in teaching people how to swim. I will arrive in Udon Thani on the 8th of March and stay for 2 months. I do not live in Udon City but I will be attending a thai language-class in Udon several days a week for some time and could give you some basic swimming instructions after class.
Let me know if you are interested,
/K

My wife and two children 3 and 5 (now 4 and 6) could not swim last October. My wife learned of instructors who work at what is a surprisingly large pool behind an apartment building, situated on Phoi Sanit Soi 1m about 300-400 meters off Srichumchen Road, will be on soi to the left. If you see the red Yamaya Music School on the Udon map, it is behind and near the "Y" in that name on the map.
Within two weeks, they were all swimming, and had opted for the "monthly rate", go as much as you want for the month. I'd encourage others to inquire there. This is a very active pool for instructors and learners.

Thanks for that option. I did enquire at a swim instructor here in Scotland and she did suggest if you are up for daily lessons and have a pool and instructor, with 45-minutes water-time each day, you could be competent within 2-3 weeks. It's has a lot to do with your self confidence... and natural bouyancy of course!rct wrote:My wife and two children 3 and 5 (now 4 and 6) could not swim last October. Hi,
On the traffic lights on the ring road, N side, N road goes to Hansa estate the South into town, Coming East to West towards the airport, you will find a stadium on the left hand side, about 100 meters past the lights. Go into this and they have a couple of pools. They have swimming instructers there. Ask someone where are the pools, as i am hopless in giving directions.
They do a lot of marshal arts, swimming, etc. my daughter learned how to swim there. They were very good. The pool used to be bad but they have built a new one about four years ago, it is very good. Can"t rmember the cost, but not much.
Can"t give you the road numbers as wife has gone out in car and the map is kept their.
Hope this hels. Cheers Doug.

That's Komen City. We had success there with our children about four years ago. The teacher was an instructor at the Physical Education College and his wife is a teacher at St. Mary's.parrot wrote:A Thai offers services as a swimming instructor for young and old at
