If its indeed a buffet breakfast incl coffee, tea and or jus d'orange for example its indeed value for money. I certainly will try it when I'm in Udon.

I stayed at the Pannarai 19 days last month (and many times before), and had the breakfast buffet every day and I was happy with it. Some type of food changes from day to day, so you are not stuck with the same food every day. Eggs, bacon, sausages, ham and more is available every day, and that`s what I need. :D

The Pannarai has become my favourite hotel in Udon, with good rooms, good price, great location, free & fast internet (at most rooms), good breakfast, and the Irish Clock just outside for great steaks. :D

Dot it?? :?

Buffet is "all you can eat", but normally I don`t eat a lot in the morning, and the price is included in my roomprice.

I mean how can they offer such an all you can eat breakfast, and I presume also incl drinks, for such a price for walking in clients who do not stay there. For me amazing, especially cause I've expererienced myself and thus knowing what it is to run a restaurant with breakfast on the menu in Udon.

Yeah, that`s a good question. They have water, milk, orange juice and coffee to drink.

At Lek Hotel in Pattaya you can get a breakfast buffet for around the same price, but there they have everything! There is so much food that I can`t understand how they make money. They also have a dinner buffet a bit more expensive, but again, how do they make money?

Perhaps a loss leader. Attracting clients with a little bit loss hoping that the sales of the other products and services will increase and increasing brand(awareness) and to distinguish themselves from other hotels in the same level/class AND hehehehe knowing that the average Udon farang is keeneauw

I will try the buffet breakfast on my next visit to Udon, 150 baht sounds fair same as Lek's in Pattaya and that is very good, I was there last week, dinner at 250 was also very good and for long stayers it is even cheaper to buy a book of vouchers at 1100 and 2100 respectively for 10 meals, a real bargain in my opinion. What time does the Pannarai open for breakfast for walk in's? and I will then submit my personal review rather than hearsay...

You can`t compare those two. I`ve never seen any place getting even close to Lek hotel. Also it depends on what food you like, and what day you go to Pannarai, as the buffet there is partly different from day to day.

Usually in Udon in the morning I drink 2 cup of coffee. Here you can drink as much as you want + jus d'orange and/or milk. I am wondering how much it is in the place next door, the Irish Clock, if I drink 2 coffee + 1 jus d'orange. Then I also want to eat bread or toast with cheese, ham, maybe sausages and eggs etc.etc. as much as I want.

For me every breakfast buffet, I sampled a lot in different hotels, is value for money especially if the price is ONLY 150bht.

As I see it, they offer good rooms from 1480 baht (I think) including buffet breakfast for 2 persons and free, fast internet (except for a few rooms out of reach). Walking distance to Central Plaza and UD Town, the Irish Clock only 20 meters away for a great dinner + many more restaurants near by. Also has room service until late if you don`t want to go out.

You can find something "wrong" with all hotels if you want, but to me, for what I need/like, the Pannarai is the best hotel in Udon.

About every buffet in nice hotels I think in this case the price of 150 baht for non-guests is very very cheap.
