HBD for the Bar and Grill, Bannon Road has sure changed in a year, locals mainly workers from City Hall use the area for food and drink.

We're Back!

We had a really nice time in Cha Am/Hua Hin. There's even a Villa Market! We got back late last night after taking a "short cut" around Bangkok (ok, I did take one wrong exit). I'll post more info about various aspects of our trip on another thread, but I will say here that I HIGHLY recommend the Cha Am (North Beach) area as a more convenient, less crowded, and less expensive alternative to Pattaya.

Couldn't talk Jun into trying this out!

Judging by the ambient lighting (or lack there of) and the expression, Jun just said, "wake up, time to go back to the hotel!"

IMPORTANT NOTICE

As I was leaving a friend's house last night I slipped and fell on some wet tile and cracked my head open. I was taken to the government hospital and took a few stitches to the back of my head. I'm very sorry but we will be CLOSED until next Wednesday. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'll give a full report on the hospital experience later.

I am very sorry to hear that Bubba.
A friend of mine did similar & it is still an ongoing problem for him, although we can now see 'light at the end of the tunnel'..

I wish you a very speedy recovery & that you are very soon back to your usual self..

Get well soon, Bubba. And heads up to all those out there.......ceramic floors are slick when wet.....and as hard as rocks.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Bubba and parrot is right, some of the most dangerous things you will encounter in Thailand are the ceramic tile floors. After the wife slipped a couple of times on our back patio I had it ripped out and non-slip (textured) tiles installed.

Cracked heads are a serious issue, take your time and don't try to get up and running too quickly.

Thanks to all for the kind words, not only here, but in phone calls and visits as well. I feel bad that some people came to our business, some from quite a distance, only to find us closed. I guess all Udonites don't read Udon Map Forum!

At 66, or any age really, head injuries are a serious issue. There was a brief period while Jun was driving me to the hospital that I couldn't remember where I had been, or even where I lived. Kind of scary. I swear this stuff was so slick that I didn't even have time to put out my hands to break my fall. With all the ceramic tile in LOS maybe it's a good idea to wear a helmet whenever it's raining?

At some point I'll start another thread about my experiences at the government hospital, which are still continuing.

Anyway, we are open for business again. Please come join us!
