Aussie Bar

Post by Bubbagoes » October 12, 2006, 11:43 am

I'm sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong, but aren't there two Aussie bars?
The original, in Soi Pataya on the other side of the complex appears to be the one in question, as I recall it was purchased by a English guy.
The new one, which is around the corner is run by an Aussie, can't remember his name but a very friendly fellow.
Aussie's and Yanks usually seem to get along pretty well as we're part of the former colonies, there's the odd Brit that likes to have the superiority complex, but that not the norm either.
If thats the truth, sum na na.

Aussie Pub in Soi Falang is owned by a Dutchman named John. As I noted before, he is an extremely nice bloke - a commesurate professional barkeep.
He is well worth stopping in and introducing yourself to.

Of course, the owner of the Downunder - Justin needs no introduction.

No worries, mate. I think most Yanks recognised the humour intent and there was no public outcry like there might be, say, with some other groups in here. Now, take the Brits. Please.

What's the matter with the Brits? Great bunch of guys! Always willing to buy a round, always up for a good laugh, never seem to get rowdy and always willing to take a joke!

Can't see anything wrong with them myself what, stiff upper lip and all that, eh chaps?

I've read on one of these posts that Justin no longer has the Assie bar. Can someone give up some info what the story is with the Aussie bar and what Justin's up to.

Aussies.....................just a bunch of convict decendants, don't trust the buggers, too many of them like to take the sheep to the edge of the cliff anyway..............

Yes, probably, but don't they hold the ashes just now?? Oh, and the rugby world cup?? Hmmm......

Still, it's well known throughout the world just how tough the Kiwis and Aussies are! Wouldn't want to argue with either race! :)

Why are there so many comments lately about people

you all forget who wins the Super Bowl (football) and of course the World Series (baseball) every year. that's right, USA.

ok, so we don't invite any competition from the rest of the world, but at least we win.

would that be because americans don't know or understand the rest of the world, since i believe the figure is less than 10 % have passports.
We're all the same really no matter what color, race, religion or age we are. We are all just flesh, blood and bone and end up the same place one day
whoa whoa whoa, not all the same, damn i'm handsome  and ending up in the same place, yikes, sinners, repent, or you may end up watching a video of all your embarressing moments in life in satan's IMAX theater.............over and over again. that would be suicidal, but, i would already be.............damn, not enough baileys in the morning coffee today.

i think in this thread, it's just clean fun, or i'm ignorant, because i really haven't got a clue what the hell they're talking about, football, the ball kicked and not passed, rugby, oh yea, that thing that looks like ants trying to move a large crumb on the floor.

Maaate!! You need a reality check. These convicts your refering to were mostly made up of the cream of the crop the best england had to offer ..real adventurous types .... the kind of people that had better things to do than sit around around listening to that wingeing whining and complaining. They were smart lot too, once they realised all they had to do to get out of god forsaken hole was to steal a loaf of bread and receive a free ticket to the land of opportunity You guys couldnt build the boats fast enough.

as for the trust part ... you can rest assured that you can trust us to win the ashes. ( Hey by the way are guys still celebrating your last win, last I heard you were, dont you think its time to move on, probally not I dont think you guys have much else to do or anything else to celebate)

And as for the sheep.... well jealiousy a curse isnt it.
