As usual, no source to refute anything. Just your opinion. You're entitled to it.

Have a good day. :D

Yep, the world could certainly do with a few more Thaksins to run the show.

Are Marcos and Suharto still available?
Sorry, these guys are dead. Moreover, I doubt you can show that Thaksin was their equal in the thug department. Of course, they were at that much longer than the 'replaced by an army coup' leader of Thailand.

Anyway, there are many leaders in the world that occasionally listen to their people although their agendas may clash from time to time.
We make our world significant by the courage of our questions and by the depths of our answers.

At this stage of its development, the trifecta would be a very good result for Thailand. :D

U are correctemente... I did start the IRS thread...

Sadly, it turned to sheist.

Do u disagree that the "stand down" dinna turn out like some, urse'f included, were sayin? There was NO stand down order.

The poster of MLK n da Big O above: Is this a criticism of the Big O and his use of the drones? If so, it's rather offensive.

It is divisive, in extremis. It actually helps the bad folks, who deeply fear da drones, sorta like Jane Fonda helpin the North Viets...

Shame on you, again.

Why would anyone living full time in Thailand with no U.S. health insurance be getting a rebate? Which by the way is less then last year for most.

Reuters: Obama Approval Tumbles to 44%
http://www.ipsos-na.com/download/pr.aspx?id=12812

Currently, both Rasmussen and The Economist have Obama upside down at 44% - 55%; the latest CNN poll showed the president treading water at 45% - 54%.

The Real Clear Politics poll of polls also backs up this latest Reuters poll. In just two months, between April 19 and June 20 of this year, President Obama's job approval has moved 7 full points in the wrong direction, from 50% - 46.5% to 45.6% - 49.1%.

===============================

Poll: Words Like 'Incompetent' and 'Liar' Most Used to Describe Obama
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism ... ribe-Obama

** Pew Poll LINKED WITHIN THE ARTICLE **
Pew Polling firm has found an interesting change in the way President Obama is being described, with the use of words like "incompetent" and "liar" on the rise.

The latest Pew poll finds that one-word impressions of Obama are turning negative more often than they have in the past. Until now, Pew says, these wholly negative one-word impressions were "rare."

The survey finds that the one-word impressions people have of Obama have changed a great deal throughout his presidency. Terms like incompetent and liar now are among the most frequently used words to describe Obama. In April 2009, when his job approval was at 63%, these words were rare.

Pew also found that the word "socialist" is used in nearly the same proportion as it has been used since he first took office, showing that the President has not succeeded in knocking down the perception that he is a socialist.

The President is also viewed negatively on civil liberties.

"Yet Obama receives some of his worst marks for how he is handling privacy and civil liberties," Pew reports. "Just 42% approve while 51% disapprove."

Further, it is Independents that view Obama most negatively on civil liberties. Only 28 percent of Independents view Obama positively on his handling of civil liberties, while 52 percent view him negatively.

The views on Obama's legacy are decidedly mixed. 31 percent say that his presidency is a failure, 33 percent say it is too early to tell, while 34 percent say it is a success.

But the poll also shows that Obama's approval rating is holding relatively steady and is still in the high 40s. 43 percent of those polled have a negative view of his performance as president.

The poll queried 388 Republicans, 487 Democrats, and 575 self-declared Independents.
With DEMOCRATS and INDEPENDENTS making up 73% of the poll (Republicans are only 26.7% of the poll), it is shocking to find so many NEGATIVES associated with Obama.

Seems like you're in real bad company when it comes to reading comprehension. But that's just you. :D It's pretty juvenile for you to try to keep making this about me instead of the issue. Have a good day.

This is all I find from u on the subject:

"Fourth, Obama has taken what began with Bush and Congress in a time of "war" (that Obama denies) and ramped up internal spying with drones. He has ramped up drone attacks outside our borders."

Jes ur opinion, again, wid NO documentation, as u SO LOUDLY complain about others...

And u regularly badmouth others... i.e., "make it personal"... Like this one...

"Any way to make it personal, make it about race and silence dissent. That's your trademark."

U seem real proud a ur commo and political analysis abilities... albeit unable to discuss this stuff without using angry obfuscation in an attempt to "bully"...

Drones without due process or probable cause on American citizens at home and abroad. Do a search. There are pages of documentation. I'm not providing any more. My objection was NOT to the use of drones, but how they were being used.
And u regularly badmouth others... i.e., "make it personal"... Like this one...

"Any way to make it personal, make it about race and silence dissent. That's your trademark."
And that's what THAT individual does. I didn't call him a name or make a cute joke about him. I observed his behaviors and motivations and stated what they ARE. If your posts and ideas match those of socialists, then you're a socialist. You've put that label on yourself. If your posts and ideas match those of a big spender, then you're a big spender. You've put that label on yourself.

I ignored your story about your civics teacher and their concern about the ACLU never defending the KKK. I viewed it as an attempt to label your teacher and me as racist -- even though there is no evidence of that where I am concerned. It is crap like that which makes something PERSONAL, and it is definitely unfounded and had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with the discussion. You ran out of facts to support your argument, so you insinuate something disgusting about me that isn't true. THAT is what I mean by PERSONAL.
U seem real proud a ur commo and political analysis abilities... albeit unable to discuss this stuff without using angry obfuscation in an attempt to "bully"...
There's one thing you need to understand. I post articles and give an opinion. I am not the one who comes in behind other people's posts on a regular basis and attack THEM -- even though they do it to me -- and you're fast becoming one of those who want to make your posts about me. I attack their premise. I ask questions. I don't call them names. I don't call their ideas stupid or sh*t or BS. I ask for clarification, and I provide my view.

Now I'll ask you. Give me SPECIFIC examples of "angry obfuscation." Tell me how you know I'm angry when I post something on an Internet forum. I am passionate about my beliefs and debate. I sense that you don't like it because you keep trying to characterize me as angry, aggressive, etc., instead of dealing with the topic.

Bullies are those who attack the person instead of dealing with the topic. They seek to silence their opinions. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it doesn't mean their opinion is correct or based on anything. I don't seek to silence anyone.

Obama: Dead in the Water...is it true?

Obama hits a wall in Berlin
http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/ ... s_opinions
The question of whether Barack Obama’s second term will be a failure was answered in the affirmative before his Berlin debacle, which has recast the question, which now is: Will this term be silly, even scary in its detachment from reality?

Before Berlin, Obama set his steep downward trajectory by squandering the most precious post-election months on gun-control futilities and by a subsequent storm of scandals that have made his unvarying project — ever bigger, more expansive, more intrusive and more coercive government — more repulsive. Then came Wednesday’s pratfall in Berlin.
Big Government creates nothing but destruction and unhappiness. Will touches on all of Obama's say-nothing rhetoric in the speech -- Syria, Iran, North Korea, terrorism, Russia, global warming, blah blah blah. It was nonsensical and empty.
Obama’s vanity is a wonder of the world that never loses its power to astonish, but really: Is everyone in his orbit too lost in raptures of admiration to warn him against delivering a speech soggy with banalities and bromides in a city that remembers John Kennedy’s “Ich bin ein Berliner” and Ronald Reagan’s “Tear down this wall”? With German Chancellor Angela Merkel sitting nearby, Obama began his Berlin speech: “As I’ve said, Angela and I don’t exactly look like previous German and American leaders.” He has indeed said that, too, before, at least about himself. It was mildly amusing in Berlin in 2008, but hardly a Noel Coward-like witticism worth recycling.
Another reference to himself. It's always about him and his agenda. No one and nothing else.
