Obama: Dead in the Water...is it true?
Mr Obama confirmed that there were high-level consultations between Moscow and Washington over Snowden's fate.
"We have gone through regular, law enforcement channels in enforcing the extradition request that we have made with respect to Mr Snowden," he said while on his African tour.
"Mr Snowden, we understand, has traveled there without a valid passport, without legal papers. We are hopeful that the Russian government makes decisions based on the normal procedures regarding international travel."
He's perfectly happy with 11-15 million undocumented, illegal criminals living for years in his country, but gets his knickers in a knot when one American flies to Russia without a passport.
Shocking liberal hypocrisy. What an embarrassment this guy is.

It doesn't matter if like or dislike Obama a Marxist is someone who believes in the ideas of Karl Marx. Obama recognizes private property, Marx wanted to abolish the whole concept because he saw any possession by individuals as theft of the community. Marx believed in class war as the only way to improve workers conditions, Obama doesn't, Obama wants reforms to make the for profit system more just and fair to poor and middle class people, he has no intention to overthrow capitalism itself and replace it with a proletarian dictatorship as advocated by Karl Marx in the communist manifesto.

Obama doesn't recognize private property. Ask the bondholders at Chrysler -- just for starters. The examples are endless.Astana wrote:It doesn't matter if like or dislike Obama a Marxist is someone who believes in the ideas of Karl Marx. Obama is all about class warfare and race-baiting. Tax the evil rich. Make them pay their fair share -- even though they already pay more than anyone else.
Anyone who tinkers with the free enterprise system to manipulate for any class of people is not about free enterprise. That is Big Government manipulation -- plain and simple. That is picking winners and losers. That is not free enterprise, and it is not the role of government.
Obama is all about blaming capitalism for everything.
We disagree completely about Barack Hussein Obama.

Yes, we certainly agree to disagree about Obama's political beliefs but if your right about Obama the logical conclusion may force us to recognize that 'revolution' may become an option.

How did Britain handle it when they were revealed to have spied on G8 diplomats and their staffs at the summit a few months back? Maybe Obama and Cameron can have another chum session and share their dirty laundry.
Obama: Dead in the Water...is it true?
Not all UK politicians have been overly alarmed by the reports that Britain's main intelligence communications body engages in communications intelligence, I think overall though both politicians and the general public look upon the subject with a mixture of shock, disdain and humorous sarcasm.Quanteen wrote:How did Britain handle it when they were revealed to have spied on G8 diplomats and their staffs at the summit a few months back? A comment from that site had me laughing: "I bet Obama could fix the Egyptian unrest if he gave a speech about youth and dreams and aspiring and hoping to aspire to youthful dreams."
None of those photos will ever appear in US liberal media.

Hilarious.
Our conservative friends seem unable to tell the difference between an Egyptian and a southern African.

Anne Patterson is BHO's hand-picked ambassador to Egypt.
Heartwarming isn't it? B Hussein O is gonna mend all the wounds, he's gonna unite us, he's gonna right the ship. From Berlin to Cairo, he's captured their hearts. He knows where they're coming from. He will listen ... he will breed beautiful white unicorns that fart strawberry-scented rainbows.
How many UM posters believed all this and more? Raise your hands.

Well I wonder how anxios Obama is to get back from vacation? Not a military coup in Eygpt? The U.S. seems to need Eygpt more then they need the U.S.

Actually, she is not that big, and maybe is as good as anyone else as a Democratic candidate.

Hope and Change - But Not for Iran
by Charles Krauthammer
............In the region, it would launch a second Arab spring. The first in 2005 -- the expulsion of Syria from Lebanon, first elections in Iraq and early liberalization in the Gulf states and Egypt -- was aborted by a fierce counterattack from the forces of repression and reaction, led and funded by Iran.
Now, with Hezbollah having lost elections in Lebanon and with Iraq establishing the institutions of a young democracy, the fall of the Islamist dictatorship in Iran would have an electric and contagious effect. The exception -- Iraq and Lebanon -- becomes the rule. Democracy becomes the wave. Syria becomes isolated; Hezbollah and Hamas, patronless. The entire trajectory of the region is reversed.
All hangs in the balance. The Khamenei regime is deciding whether to do a Tiananmen. And what side is the Obama administration taking? None. Except for the desire that this "vigorous debate" (press secretary Robert Gibbs' disgraceful euphemism) over election "irregularities" not stand in the way of U.S.-Iranian engagement on nuclear weapons.
Even from the narrow perspective of the nuclear issue, the administration's geopolitical calculus is absurd. There is zero chance that any such talks will denuclearize Iran. On Monday, Ahmadinejad declared yet again that the nuclear "file is shut, forever." The only hope for a resolution of the nuclear question is regime change, which (if the successor regime were as moderate as pre-Khomeini Iran) might either stop the program, or make it manageable and nonthreatening.
That's our fundamental interest. And our fundamental values demand that America stand with demonstrators opposing a regime that is the antithesis of all we believe.
And where is our president? Afraid of "meddling." Afraid to take sides between the head-breaking, women-shackling exporters of terror -- and the people in the street yearning to breathe free. This from a president who fancies himself the restorer of America's moral standing in the world.

I can't argue with one word of Charles' comments. The new administration is right about one thing: the world is watching.

Obama: Jobs
I hesitate to point to any earlier posts on this subject, lest I be wrongfully accused (yet again) of being "obsessed".
But it seems only one poster consistently makes incorrect (?obsessive) statements about Obama.
Here is the good news:
But it seems only one poster consistently makes incorrect (?obsessive) statements about Obama.
Here is the good news:
=D>The United States added a better-than-expected 195,000 jobs in June, and job growth in prior months was revised higher, according to official data.
The unemployment rate held steady at 7.6 per cent as the number of people in the work force continued to rise, the Labor Department said.
The jobs gain in June was better than the average monthly increase of 182,000 over the last year, and well above the analyst consensus estimate of 166,000 jobs.
The jobless rate had been expected to remain steady.
In a further encouraging sign of improvement in the labor market, the Labor Department revised April and May jobs numbers higher, saying the combined gains in those months were 70,000 higher than previously estimated.
The private sector continued to drive job growth in the world's largest economy, adding 202,000 positions.
Government shed 7,000 jobs, 5,000 of them at the federal level, in part reflecting the ongoing sequester spending cuts that began on March 1.
The most robust job growth - 75,000 new jobs - was in the leisure and hospitality sector, which has been making a strong comeback over the past 12 months amid a modest economic expansion.
In that sector, 5200 jobs were added in food services and drinking places, the department said.
Other leading gains were in professional and business services, up 53,000 jobs, retail trade (37,000), health care (20,000) and financial activities (17,000)..............

Obama: Dead in the Water...is it true?
The Obamacare mess
http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/t ... 93732.html
And yes, it's already a mess, and it hasn't even been rolled out.
This misspeaking -- which is what the WH will call it -- demonstrates the underlying incompetence of the ObamaCare project, from start to finish. It promises something that it not only couldn’t deliver, but made all but impossible from its very existence.
In addition, a huge top-down bureaucracy is created that makes everything more costly for everyone -- and it's not just consumers. Government, providers, insurers and employers will ALL PAY MORE. So now the mandate has been delayed until 2015 -- after the midterm elections so that Dems don't lose even more seats over their unanimous support for this LIE.
Obama now faces policy debates on immigration in the House and the budget and debt ceiling in both the House and Senate. By delaying all of the implementation, Obama is violating the letter of the law. He can do that? Don't think so. Obama is once again arbitrarily ignoring statutory law and defying Congress in this matter. I doubt that the Congress will be willing to listen to anything Obama says on immigration or the debt ceiling if he has this view that he can do anything he wishes. Good faith agreement with Obama? No way. He's proven that.

Yes, Obama LIED to the very People he claims to champion -- "the little guy."The administration can call it whatever it wants, but there is no hiding the embarrassment of a climbdown on a high-profile feature of President Barack Obama’s signature initiative — although the administration seemed determined to do all it could to hide it. If Bloomberg hadn’t broken the news on Tuesday, the administration was apparently planning to announce it on July 3 — only because the day before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve were too far off.
The reason for the delay, we’re told, is incompetence. The administration’s story is that it simply couldn’t find a way to implement the insurance reporting requirements on employers within the time frame set out in the law. In this telling, the mandate was merely collateral damage — it had to be put off, along with the accompanying $2,000-per-employee fine on firms with more than 50 employees who don’t offer health coverage.
This just happens to be the mandate that is causing howls of pain from businesses and creating perverse incentives for them to limit their hiring or to hire part- rather than full-time employees. And it just happens that 2015 — the new target year for implementation — is after a midterm election year rather during one. It must all be a lucky break. …
Obamacare was sold on two flagrantly false promises: that you could keep the insurance you have and that prices for insurance would drop. But employers will dump significant numbers of employees onto the exchanges to save on their own health-care costs. And the latest indication of the law’s price shock came via The Wall Street Journal this week, which reported, “healthy consumers could see insurance rates double or even triple when they look for individual coverage.”
