Every day I wake up is a good day.

Not surprised the Heinz spaghetti sauce is going, i bought some once, tasted awful - like tesco value sauce in the UK. I sometimes buy the Prego if on offer or we just make it ourselves from Tomato puree - cheaper and add fresh veg.

This Week's Shopping Deal
Not so much a "This week's shopping deal" more a case of .........anyone thinking about buying a new bed, tv unit desk sofa etc, might like to check out a new place on the Udon KK road. I've been looking for a 'single (3'6") bed for my daughter for a few weeks, and the usual places Index Tesco Big C Global and a couple of places on road from Big C to Udon were all much of a muchness (about 10k upwards for bed & mat) whereas this guy provided me with what I wanted including a padded headboard for when the little madam loses her footing whilst playing trampolines
for 6.5k including free delivery (1 hr from the shop to my house 20km away). He also had large TV holding wall/glass units for under 5k. He spoke perfect English as did his brother? and even mum? had a smile and a few words. I asked why he was so cheap, and he said that he had just opened and was scared to put his prices too high. Everything had a price sticker so NO DOUBLE PRICING possible (not that they seemed the type).
It's a bit far out (just Udon side of the Udon Girls Home and on the same side of the road, so a U turn just beyond the Girls home is reqd. I doubt that these prices will stay as low for long so it might be worth a visit sooner rather than later

Neesoon Nadee has Ashai beer, 12 640ml bottles for 390 baht a case. Not buy one, get one, but same-same on price. Normal price is 780 baht, so 50% off. It is not really super fresh, being bottled in December 2012, but still drinkable and at 50 cents a mug US, I am not going to complain.

This Week's Shopping Deal
I was getting my hair cut a few days ago. The young barber was shaving my neck much to my surprise he had a LARGE can of Gillette Foam! I inquired where they purchased it at. They had purchased it at the beauty supply shop across the street from the main bus station near the travel agency on the corner. I went there yesterday and bought 2 cans. 14.75 oz/418g 130 baht! I was a happy boy.
BTW, No one spoke english.

Just looked at the photo of the Gillette foamy, it doesn't show the true size of the can. I haven't seen a can of shaving cream this large since I moved here. Attached a photo next to a Coke can to show the true size.

Went looking for a new wooden rolling pin today. Tried Villa first - 505 baht. Then up to Robinsons kitchen area, worth the walk- only 90 baht. The quality appears equal or better.

I'm with you Alan...
Topps had just 1 packet in there today - so hardly a deal, although it was, officially still on.
Interesting about Tesco Zid. must be some sort of McVities promotion I guess...

I've maybe not worded my post too well, chaps, sorry.
Tesco's currently have on offer the Milk Chocolate and the ordinary Plain Digestives....NOT THE PLAIN CHOCOLATE....as far as I could see, anyway .....there werent any.
So hope you wont both have to endure a feeling of disappointment.
And c'mon.....the Milk Chocolate are much more tasty......for something like Swiss or Belgian chocolate, for instance, your not telling me you would prefer the Dark Chocolate to the Milk Chocolate ??

Are they "real" 747, or are they the same as Mars/Snickers etc and made in this part of the world for the Asian tastebuds .... ie lack of sugar No need to take your teeth out to try 747 you should still be able to tell even after they have been "dunked"
Noticed in Old nearly re vamped Tesco'sthat Liptons Ice Tea was being sold according to the label for B277 per tray of 32 ......... reckon the delivery boys were a bit thirsty as all the trays only contained 24 cans which makes B277 a bit pricey when you consider they are selling the tins in packs of 6 for B62
