I recently discovered this little gem of a place on the riverside in Nong Khai and thought I would share it with UM members.
The Rim Khong Cafe Restaurant & bar is located about 40m from the eastern end of Tha Sadej market, facing the river (opposite the car park).
Initially run by Lance & Da the cafe sells a range of coffees, teas, Thai & Farang food, as well as alcoholic beverages. Lance's brother Peter has recently joined them to enhance the range of western food. So besides the usual breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, fish & chips, pizzas etc, the menu now includes a range of "specials" like: soups & baguette, pasta dishes, fettuccine, ravioli, and other "dishes of the day".
With personable staff, it's a pleasant place to sample their menu, have a coffee or drink, read the daily newspaper (provided), or utilise their free Wi-Fi., all whilst watching the world go by.
They can be contacted on: 042 420260 (Thai and English spoken)

There is a few Cafe's about that area, look for the farang one across from the stall that sells all the kids toys, or across from the small car park at the end of the market.
