Anyone Shoot Pool??

Post by ergman » October 30, 2006, 6:10 pm

Hey Gang.....

Just wondering if anyone shoots any 8-ball or 9-ball up there? And if so are there any of the bars there with a decent table? :?: :?: I would like to know so should decide if I'm gonna bring my cue or not...

best table (and only good table) in farang bars is in Irish Clock. One of the bowling alleys have decent tables as well.

there are a few good 9 ball american style tables, but only 1 decent 8 ball european style table in udon, there are plenty of average players and a few really good ones.

Everyone else uses pub cues.

I have never seen the need to take my cue to udon.

PM me if you enjoy shooting on the bigger tables, not those ------ bar room quarter eaters. Big C has some pretty good tables, and if you come in about a month, while building is at a lul, I would love to shoot some pool, maybe even some straight pool, and I will bring my que. Don't worry it has not been used for months on end, last and only time in two years was when irish clock had a nine ball gathering. :D

I enjoy a game of pool, but only play when in Thailand, so it takes me a while to get a feel for the game.

When in BKK I go to The New Wave Pool bar in Suk, Soi 7. Good tables and good company.

Last time I played an American guy who had been on a table for over an hour. He was good. I got my nose infront and then he snookered me behind his last ball. Should have seen the look on his face when I played a jump shot over his ball and potted the black.

Again....it's all about having fun :) . I basically learned at the "Megabreaks" and then it bacame "Ball In Hand"....Nice tables and good service there. I'm lucky enough to own a very nice 1" thick slate table with red wood finish that is really pretty. Havent' played in while because too much work....but that's why I go to Thailand 8) 8) 8)
