There is an Apple repair shop in UD Town, 3rd floor. Also, there are two Apple stores, UD Town and Central, which can send your iPad to Bangkok for repair.

I can recommend the shop in UD Town on the 3rd floor. They did a good job on my MacBook and very friendly staff.

Yes, opposite Wine Factory. This is the only Apple certified repair shop in the region. The girl in the counter speaks english. 'Normal' repair shops do exist, but I know only Tucom in Pattaya where you can even get your Touchscreen display exchanged, at a price much (very much) lower as when doing this with Apple.

Just to close out this issue.
I visited the Apple repair shop on third floor of UD Town, same level as new fitness place but opposite wing of building.
They were unable to offer repair as the warranty had expired.
The young guy was very helpful in showing me an alternative fix.

Thank you all for your earlier input.
