Soi Nittapat: Bars and Hotels

Post by michaleo » November 12, 2013, 3:17 am

I like to spend the evenings and even to sleep in Soi Nittapat.

You find this soi if you leave the Thasadetmarket on the east side and than you cross the Mae Chai Road and the Prajak Road. It is in the Center of Nong Khai.

Image

On the side next to the Mekong River we find the Nongkhai City Hotel

Image

There is a large Lobby, the reception speaks english and there is WiFi in all of the house.

The room is OK and costs 550 Baht a night without breakfast - this doesn't mind, as you can drink a coffee besides.

Image

The TV is modern and large enough, but the mattrass ist hard.
No matter if you enjoy sweet dreams ;)

Image

The shower is OK, but take care if you leave the toilet.

On the other end of the road we find the Hotel White Inn.
They speak a little english.

You see this building from far away:

The room has enough space for two persons and cost 800 Baht.

The shower has an nice style, as you see it is quite new.

Right in front of the White Inn we find the Moon Bar and Massage.

Image

You can play snooker here before you go to bed in the White Inn

You certainly know that playing snooker makes a good sleep

Image

especially, if you drink one or two glasses of beer before falling asleep.

Image

If you want to walk a little farther you will find other bars in the Soi Nittapat.

So you can choose one or another chair to take place

Image

Normally, these bars are not crowded, but not boring, too

Image[/qu

and you can pass from one to another, if you like.

Great post. Looks pretty chilled but I have always found NK to be a pretty chiled place. Might have to check it out when next in the area.

Thank you, gentlemen.
In fact these bars open and close after short time.

For example the "Be Happy Bar" right in front of the Nong Khai City Hotel.

Image

I did like that bar

Image

This was the way it looked like in 2012

Image

I really had a lot of fun in the evenings

This is not to rain on anyone's parade, but there needs to be an upgrade in the attractiveness of the women if they want to entice more farang customers.

The hotel's look fine.

Reminds me of the old joke... she was a "2" at 10, and a "10" at 2. Just depends on the alcohol content of the viewer, but agree, some of these photos are plain scary... like chew your arm off ugly, but what do I know.

Some of the photos on the first page of this thread are pretty old. For example, the Funky Monkey bar and the Nee bar closed a long time ago, and haven't re-opened. The remaining bars have very few women between them.

maybe the lady's think same about the falangs visiting the bars... :-"
but strange... money can do wonders...
and before making any comment as above be sure to look in the mirror first... :D
