Udon Bike Week

Spoke with Oiu today, tentative schedule is the 17th, 18 th & 19 th Ride scheduled for the 18th and main party that night. Right now they say Udon Center. Not sure how that will work. Since it's like Chaing Rai airplane bike week. Nothing said about cars, But, they have been at the other bike weeks

The planes we saw at Cahing Rai were powered para gliders and some very impressive model aircraft. He said he would firm things up soon. Nothing like waiting till the last min.

I will put this on some other sites since participation was really low for what we expected. If there are changes I will notify you guys

The Air show on Chaing Rai consisted of para gliders, and RC planes. The R.C planes on display were handmade to include a four engine C-130 and two different Jet Aircraft. There was no charge for admission. This one is actually sounding larger.

We have been told to meet the 18th at 0830 for the bike portion. I would imagine that will be Thai time at the base. Still not sure if that aspect will include a ride. Hope so.

The party will be at the UD Town Center.

If we get a different update I will post it.

Is the bike ride only for cruiser type bikes or can anyone join in?
I would like to tell the Thailand PCX clubs if we are welcome.

I have to give you a thumbs up for the correct use of "cruiser bike motorcycles" for a standard motorcycle.

Many farang misuse the word chopper referring to a standard motorcycle.

I have only seen a couple of real "choppers" in Udon like this Image

Anyone is welcome even without a bike. Ting Tong go to the show and you will see a lot more of those type of bikes.

I think referring to street bikes a choppers was from the Phantom days. Thai's called them that.

Two strokes are fun easy to work on. Rode the Phantom 150 I had with the big guys for years. As a matter of fact out on a overnight ride with a friend that still rides his.

The organizers of the Bike Parade informed me, only big bikes, I think that means no one cylinder small bore scooters or what a Daily Mail reporter would call a "moped".
