Anybody else out there having internet problems? Started yesterday....some sites load quickly, others don't. Doesn't matter if I'm on my desktop or iPad with TOT or on my smartphone with AIS. Seems to come and go. Maybe one of the undersea cable problems??

same but worse for me this morning.. At times even though my laptop (and DSL Modem) showed full internet connectivity, I couldn't get anything... I'm using 3BB.. Tonight it seems OK...

TOT terrible today: slow loading, partial loading, no connectivity off & on.

Searched Google to see what's up and found our Parrot's post from half an hour ago.

Unusual to be in this state all day. "Connection" to Bangkok situation? Dunno.

That settles that! I just wanted to verify the problem is more widespread than just my computer(s)/my area.

We go through this sort of thing from time to time.....they'll get it sorted out.

Yes the same here today, very slow even though all the lights were on the router.
Still not working properly. Yesterday it was fine.

Same in the NW area - constant drops, sometimes for minutes, sometimes for hours. It's been like this for a couple of months, or so. Now and then rebooting the router would help, but lately even that doesn't work much any more.

TOT (naturally....<sigh>)

Seems back to "normal" today, or the new normal, anyway ... working OK but a bit slower than it used to be.

Well, as I had complained earlier, my 3BB internet had gone from very good, to poor.
Complaints to the landlord resulted in 3BB coming & installing a new line & modem.
It is much improved - about back to what it was previously :D .
During the couple of weeks that took to happen I took note of what issues were being reported in the SE Asia region over the internet connections.
One of the things that I read was that an undersea cable link between Vietnam & the USA had been wiped out.
I imagine that traffic (Vietnam & Cambodia) is now been passed through other routes.
In general, even before the Vietnam link loss, there seemed a general impression that the demand on the ISPs in Thailand was more than they could actually manage.
Problem is that it is a mighty expensive exercise to lay more undersea cables & so I can't see things greatly improving for quite a while..

I suspect that the piece of kielbasa that was stuck in the underseas cable has at least been dislodged. Pages are opening up normally.....at least for the time. We seem to go through this drill once a year or so......I only asked the original question because I hadn't read about a cable or heard that anyone else was having problems.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad I didn't disassemble the motherboard or try the 'whack it with a screwdriver' trick to fix it!

The repair will possibly last between four and seven weeks, the companies said.

Since 2011, AAG has broken or gone under maintenance on different occasions, affecting Internet connections.

The cable is the only one connecting Southeast Asia with the US. It has landing stations in the continental US, Hawaii, Guam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and Vietnam.

The US$560 million cable was launched in April 2007 and was connected to Vung Tau in November 2009.

So any problems could be associated with the repair...
