Congrats to Stan.....I never doubted you for a minute ! :^o
And congrats to mat80 whose two predictions were proved right [-( although a man in his mid 30's wearing a shabby mac has been seen loitering outside White Hart Lane, only moments ago,and David Moyes has not been taken away by the men in white coats ! (private joke for those bewildered by this post =; )
Wawrinka.....he's certainly up there challenging the supremacy of the likes of Djokovic,Nadal and Murray now.Del Potro is another one who could be up there if only he could remain injury free.
Sadly the one who has been the best of the lot,Federer,is nearing 33 now and its hard to see him winning another major title, unfortunately.
For the women both Cibulkova and Bouchard gave the promise of some entertaining viewing in the next 12 months.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

THREE MIRACLE RECOVERIES!

1.Nadal has announced that the, (mythical??), back injury, causing his loss to Wawrinka in the final of the Oz Oen, will NOT afffect his immediate future playing schedule. Now there's a a surprize! ?, No, but he should be.
2. Sharapova, comprehensively beaten by Cibulkova due entirely to a back injury, (even she has obviously got fed up with 'the shoulder' fairy tale), just demonstrated her full "recovery" by beating her 'bunny' Hanticova with the loss of only only game. This in some third rate tournament in some obscure country where she is assured of another impressive(???????) tournament win, given the notable absence of any other women players of any note.
3. Serena Williams has announced her annoyance that her "close friend" and coach "accidentally let slip"  the fact that she was suffering from a back injury during the course of her taking a beating from Ivanovic, in the Oz Open. This because she was concerned that fans might think she was making excuses. :-" :-" \:D/ PERISH THE THOUGHT! ;) However she too has made a full recovery.

I am sure all of these great sporting people, would want me to add the caveat that their stated individual full recovery may need to be reassessed/retracted at the time of their next defeat
