Would be very grateful if any of you, ( probably American?), members are aware of a Gun Club/Shooting Range in the general local area, also the extent of my entitlement, under Thai Law, to ownership of a handgun/rifle.
Thanks.
I purchased a 9mm Glock a couple years back in the U.S. for about 15,000 baht. Though expensive, firearms do hold their value. They are easy to resell here in the U.S. For inexpensive shooting, the purchase of a small caliber firearm may prove to be the right choice. Hearing protection is always recommended when using a firearm.rjb wrote:There is a gun club at the Border Police Training Center on Udonsakon Hwy not far off the Ring
Rd past Big C. I understand a pistol can be rented there, 9mm Glock. Foreigners can not own a gun but a Thai wife or other may if they pass a background check and have a lot of money, guns are not cheap here. PM me for more information,

Weapons enthusiasts and sports shooters in Udon Thani can visit the Shooting Club to get the opportunity to practice their hobby.
Reminds me of my favorite quote from W.C. Fields. When asked what he did with all his money he replied, "Half I spent on loose women, booze, and gambling, the other half I wasted."GT93 wrote: ...It's a shame he seems to have had to give up chasing bad women. We might all be a bit safer if this was his favoured leisure activity.

Think you may have missed it, Maaka. "Tossing one's self off" does NOT refer to going off the cliff in this instance.maaka wrote:women are as a cliff over which men fall to their deaths...hahaha
Is that comment an expression of concern for me, or the other members ?jackspratt wrote:Good luck in your search mat.
If you are successful, hopefully the Club will have for hire special boots, with bullet resistant uppers and toe caps.
