TERMITE REVISITED

TERMITES REVISITED..
We are in the process of redoing the house overhang; replacing the wood planks with SCG cement SMARTBOARDS..
The contractor proposed that we keep the WOOD FACIA ( front board) , because it s not been attacked by the termites.
Q-1 ...Before going along with his suggestion I would like to << treat that wood >> against termites. Is there any product, paint, spray that I can apply now, before closing the overhang. that would provide a good termite barrier ???
Q-2 Anyone knows a knowledgeable contractor to install roof vents?
