We cant even agree on what sort of Head of State , so Abbott will just divide and conqueror on this, like they did last time.

100% sure they wont be allowed a conscious vote if it ever got off the ground.

Abbott is in a for the next term already ( cant see Shorten getting the swings needed )

I can see it now, him being knighted and then made Ambassador to the Vatican after .

Can have dinner with his mate Pel, who he rings weekly.

The one who ought to be ashamed is Abbott, who has (re-)imposed this feudal nonsense on the country, without consulting the people or even his own caucus members.

As the just retired GG, what was Bryce supposed to do - reject the gong, and throw ---- in the face of the government and the Prime Minister? I gather she is far more diplomatic than that. =D>
