Guttering & downpipes instllation.

Post by mathusalah80 » May 3, 2014, 5:12 pm

I need to have intalled three new downpipes and approximately eight metres of guttering installed, before the rainy season gets underway. Anyone able to kindly recommend specialist guttering company or competent & reliable 'jobbing' builder, who might be interested in carrying out what is a small and relatvely easy job of work? Thanks.

With the Napalai Hotel on your left hand side, continue almost to the 4-way lighted intersection. About 200-400m before you reach the intersection, there's a small gutter shop on your left hand side. We've used him on 2 separate occasion.....found his work and prices to be good. He has different thicknesses of guttering.......you can go cheap or a bit more expensive....up to you. He didn't charge extra to drive the 18km outside the city to our home....although I gave him gas money with the final bill.

Thanks very much Parrot for this most comrehensive and helpful information. Will drive over to the shop, initially, to meet him and inspect his wares and see if he is interested in this small job. Would really like to get the job completed before I go off to Oz later this month. Will advise the outcome. Thanks again.

Parrot,
Called into Khun Wimorn's, (phonetic spelling), shop last Thursday; he came to the house the same afternoon, and completed the job last Saturday. His telephone number is 081-975-6213.
We were delighted with his work, with his attitude, (he 'changed' a couple of things which he undid and did what WE wanted with good humour), and the very reasonable price, which we were happy to 'top up', to express our satisfaction.
Thanks again for the recommendation.

Khun Vimol and crew are finishing up a two house job at our place today. Just as the other poster stated, excellent handiwork, and he and his two man installer team have everything down pat.. He lead seals all the seams of the gutters and downspouts so it looks like a welded joint.. We opted for the heavy galvanized metal at 280 baht per meter. The price per meter is for gutter and per meter for the downspouts. They haul away all old removed gutters too.. He has stainless too, but his 700 baht per meter quote was a bit steep.. Our old guttering was cheap stuff and lasted over 10 years so with this heavier gauge, properly installed, it should last even longer..
