Rugby League- State of Origin- first game 28 May.

Post by Sport » May 19, 2014, 9:25 am

The first of 3 State of Origin Rugby League matches between Queensland and NSW is on Wednesday 28 May commencing at 4.30pm. We will be watching it live on 3 TV's at the Aussie Burger Sports bar in Nutty Park. Finger food will be provided free throughout the games.

The venues for the 3 match series are Suncorp Stadium Brisbane 28 May,
Allianz Stadium Sydney 18 June,
the decider back to Suncorp on 9 July.

The stadiums were built by insurance companies, so the Queensland players will be looked after.

Thanks
Rob 0840934089.

That would be the infamous John Hopoate's old team coxo. I believe he's the bloke who misunderstood what a wedgie was. I hope young players are taught how to do a wedgie properly.

Cant sell the tickets for the first game already, Overpriced !!

After all a basic ticket is now only 15 visits to the GP, as this is now the reference for any base line comparison of prices in Oz now.

Is Bevan Meninga playing for the Maroons this season? Probably too old but he probably had excellent genes for rugby league. What a waste of his life and his victim's life. I couldn't recall his conviction. Rugby league was the main sport I followed in the early 90s. I used to support North Sydney but when they merged with Manly who I hated I simply ceased following rugby league.

I don't know if this is fair wazza. It's easy to make fun of league. Yes coxo, I know you also have plenty of ammo to fire back at the most important game in Australia.

I just saw big Mel talk about Bevan on a video from the SMH site. Still a top bloke Mel Meninga. Good luck to his family.

The most important game in Oz , sorry but the Boxing Day test on an Ashes Tour, beats this northern states thingy

then AFL Grand Final Day

then a Two Up Game on ANZAC Day

I will watch the game, in the presence of others, to enjoy the company others who actually know the rules

Who you kidden Waz, agree with the boxing day match, THEN THE MOST IMPORTANT SPORTING MATCH IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND IS THE RUGBY LEAGUE STATE OF ORIGIN IN THE NORTHERN STATES. And starting in June the northern rugby sides are playing the southern people.

Or is this going to be a civil war between the north and south like in the US, sabres and muskets at the ready lol. The Blues won that conflict and the blues will win this conflict,....................... I hope.

More action off the ball, with assistant coaches shagging red neck radio shock jocks wife. Seeing Hadley having to fend off the press and have his life dragged into the public arena and him not liking it one little bit. Same as Alan Jones complaining recently that he didn't like the way he was portrayed in the press with the ICAC recently. Som nam na . Suffer in ya jocks Jocks

Now then, Is it a battle of 2 breweries ? or Toads V's Funnel Web spiders , Ive got no idea.

Or is their a sinister subtle battle of Day Light Savings V's Curtains fading earlier up in Cairns ???

Wespac Choppers v's Careflight Choppers

Coal Seam Gas in QLd V's No exploration in NSW

Who really cares, as The Swans are the only team worth mentioning out of Sydney anyway.

Sounds like you going to have a potentially good night anyway, hope you have a full house, which is better that Lang Park will have.

Lights blue touch paper and stands well clear !

Hey Wazza, there's a 'kick and giggle' thread on the forum I think, better to post your AFL thoughts on that one.

The greatest sporting spectacle in Aus commences on the 28th, hope its close and hard.

But Coxo playing his colours close to your chest.

So sign of any allegiance as yet.

Strife in the ICAC Camp, vs Newman's warriors struggling with Smell Me Finger , so where is Wally now.

My spin on it, Purple to win , by 9

And Waz the piss is ice cold. Outside of OZ or NZ, some people do not know what we are referring too, we refer to beer in slang as Piss.

As a Tasmanian , I know what ice cold p*ss is, as well as having a beer !

Good to see you don't have the terrible obsession of serving warm beer in your establishment , unless you haven't paid the bills LOL
