The Thai personal debt bubble was going to burst sooner or later. The recent military adventure may prove to be the pin that burst the bubble. As, officially, there are no political parties in Thailand it will be up to the current administration to pick up the pieces as best they can.

Let's hope that any personal debt bubble in Thailand if there is one isn't too bad. The Americans had a horrific housing debt crisis not that long again. It can happen in just about any country. The usual response is that governments bail out the lenders but not the borrowers and the economy stinks for ages.
