Germans haven't dominated like this since France 1940.

For readers just coming in after a night out in Adunyadet Road soi 2 [-X you are not hallucinating when I tell you the half time score is........Brazil 0 GERMANY 5
Germans have been good but the Brazilian defence has not even been up to Conference standards....the half time score, actually, flatters them a bit !
TV pictures panning onto Brazilians in the crowd crying......not surprisingly booed off at half time.....there could be trouble on the streets of Brazil tonight unless they make the scoreline respectable.

You wont see a World Cup semi final like this if you live to be 120,statts ! 8)

Final score......
Brazil 1 (Oscar 90)
Germany 7 (Muller 11,Klose 23,Kroos 24,26,Khedira 29,Schurrle 69,79)

Absolute humiliation for the hosts ! Klose becomes the highest scorer in World Cup history.Oscar nets a late consolation in injury time for Brazil.
Unbelievable !

 Absolute disgrace from the hosts. Totally outplayed in every sense by the Germans. It looked more like a practice match for the Germans and they were able to score at will. The German fans were even giving it large with ole" in the second half whilst the home fans geers and boos were very evident. They couldn't control the ball, pass properly, were running into each other and were always second best. This has to be the worst Brazil team/performance I have ever watched and their defence had more holes than Swiss Cheese.
Here's tae us, wha's like us, damn few, and they're a' deid. Mair's the pity!

Unbelievable result.
Without their main man up front & their main defender Brazil were a ghost of the sides that the country have produced in the past. Germany just don't let up if they are on top.
However this is still a shocker of a result.
The other Europe v South America clash now has even more interest attached.
A complete European World Cup final being played in South America?? I thought there was little prospect of ever seeing that..

they got what they deserved...the side that came to play football won, and the side that thought they would win by hollywoods, and penalities, went home..Good job..nice to see some real football again...hope the coach is gone..take out two players, and they had no team at all..

The second semi final tonight.....The Netherlands v Argentina....kick off 3am Thai time.
I reckon the Dutch would settle for 5-1......seriously,this game should be a lot,lot closer....Holland,maybe the slight underdogs ? :-k

Finals:
Germany - The Netherlands 1-5

Same score as Spain-Holland. This won't happen though. Be real, so 1-2 and tonight against Argentina the Dutch will win with 3-1.

Not been staying up for the 3am games but made an exception last night ... what a game and a shocker for Brazil , not just the football team but the whole nation .

Germany were brilliant game over after 26 mins and youve gotta say they desreve to win the tournament on this kind of form .

Argies v Holland ... The dutch to win im going for 2-1 after extra time hopefully no pens ....then the final .. i dont mind who prevails so long as its a good entertaining game and not a dour defensive damp squib as many finals can be .

WELL DONE GERMANY .

I actually thought the Germans would win comfortably. But not this comfortably. Brazil got found out. I did not see their first game against Croatia, but apparently they were fortunate. I saw their games against Chile and Columbia and they rode their luck, especially against Chile, Brazil being lucky, and their opponents unlucky. They missed Silva who was obviously the glue that held that dismal defence together more than the boy Neymar. The match resembled Arsenal in their early 2000ish prime period (Germany) against a division 4 side (Brazil). What a crap defence. Useless Brazil offence in the 2nd half - what happened to all those great goalscorers of the 70's and 80's; the best goals i ever saw were Brazil from those periods. Oh, and Neuer is the best all round goalkeeper in the world - he has everything. Hart could learn a thing or two from him, but no, he probably would'nt. Great game!

Netherlands striker Robin van Persie may miss the World Cup semi-final after struggling with a stomach complaint.

Will be a big blow to the Dutch if he cannot play...

They grew older and slower and could not make the team.

Nice. :D And some of them have probably really let themselves go as per the two photos Bob Helm posted earlier. They now wouldn't look out of place in a wife beater singlet with the other dodgy characters so common in the less reputable parts of Bangkok. Some of them might be enjoying the World Cup from a bar stool in Nana Plaza or its equivalent in Brazil.

I hope Holland wins tomorrow. There's a Dutch restaurant next to my office in NZ and it's packed out even for games starting at some ungodly hour by the local Dutch community. If there's a penalty shoot out their cheers and groans tell me what is happening.

555+ Yes, one of our former posters came up with a new name for these type of people, and I cannot remember it now, but it ended with lords. Can someone help?

I was shocked to turn on the tv in Khon Kaen soon after arriving, and hear the BBC commentators rattling on about a German win, and then I heard the score...Goodness Gracious...Great Balls of Fire!!!
