80% of mobile clinic users test HIV-positive
PHUKET: Phuket Governor Niran Kalayanamit has ordered all government agencies to step up the battle against the spread of HIV, after some 80% of people who used a mobile clinic tested positive for HIV.
Addressing a monthly meeting of provincial government office heads at the Thavorn Grand Plaza Hotel yesterday, Gov Niran said he was particularly worried about the spread of HIV/Aids among sex workers in Patong.
He described the increase in HIV/Aids cases in the area as
Shocking HIV figures found in Phuket
That's really scary. 80 out of 100 tested positive for HIV. Much much higher than I would have guessed.
That's why I always 'bag up' before I...well you know....Thank God.
I know it's not anywhere near as enjoyable, but why would you want to risk catching HIV? I know of a lot of guys here and Bangkok who never use a condom. So they play Russian roulette every time they sleep with a bar girl.
Looks like HIV/AIDS is not going away anytime soon.
btw. izzix - where did you copy this from?

Slowly, slowly,...
i think you have this 80% because in general only the people that suspect that they are HIV positive will go for a check in a mobile clinic.
It is clearly not 80% of the population .
But still alarming results!!!!
people that are following good advice:80% of people who used a mobile clinic tested positive for HIV.
will even don't bother to go in a mobile clinic to test for HIV.That's why I always 'bag up' before I...well you know....Thank God.
