The NARIT said the eclipse will develop between 15:15 pm to 20:33 pm and the period of total eclipse will last from 17:25 pm – 18:24 pm.
Pray for no cloud cover, although is is just about as it is getting dusk so maybe difficult to see right from the start...

Ha ha you lucky fellows.

There are plenty of strange farang in Thailand. I hope none of them turn into werewolves or do other weird things during the eclipse.

Total lunar eclipse on October 8

Just to give this a boost as it is tonight...
The Beeb's take on the whole thing..
http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-29522648
A total lunar eclipse will be visible across much of the Americas and Asia in the coming hours.

The eclipse starts at 08:00 GMT (04:00 EDT), reaching totality just before sunrise at 10:25 GMT (06:25 EDT).

During the eclipse - which is the second to occur this year - our only natural satellite will be fully covered by the Earth's shadow.

The Moon will appear orange or red, the result of sunlight scattering off our atmosphere, hence the name Blood Moon.

Weather permitting, skywatchers in in North America, Australia, western South America and parts of East Asia will be able to see the spectacle.

However, Europe, Africa and the eastern part of Brazil will miss out on the show.

The last total lunar eclipse occurred on 15 April, and the next is expected to take place on 4 April 2015.

There will be two full lunar eclipses again next year.
Just hope for a clear sky early evening...

Sun is setting here on the Gold Coast, QLD with a very blue, clear (pollution free) cloudless sky. Looking forward to a great sight with camera at the ready.

Got a good view of the tail-end of it in Toronto. The clouds have not cleared, but the Moon edged through to reveal the eclipse around 6 a.m. Nice.

Did far better than me then Uncle... :(
Low cloud or a no show by the moon made it just about the worst non eclipse I have never seen.

The locals did try & make up for the lack of a moon by turning Nong Sim into a recreation of the Battle of the Somme but that was not actually on my list of 'must do's' either... :D

i can only hope that Dero got some good snaps to share...

Must have grabbed 50 odd between 19:20 local time when it began until 20:21 when the full eclipse happened. My camera wasn't good enough to get the 'red' image. Haven't been through em all yet. Didn't have a tripod, just tried to hold the camera against a solid object so on full zoom some, I've looked at, are a bit shaky.

We did get some cloud but very spasmodic so all in all a spectacular sight. Will post any I think worthy later.

Very cool site as the neighbors & I stood gawking at the "frog eating the moon."

Kinda like a toddler going, "Hey, look at my shadow! That's me/us/earth!"

Was beautiful gold color, more gold moon than blood moon, but quite a site just south of Nong Khai.

Thanks for the heads up, Bob.

I couldn't see it until late in the event, is was too close to the horizon, too many buildings around, even though I was on the roof of a two story building, on Soi Nongbua. Here's a shot I did get, when it was almost over. Unfortunately, no tripod.
